Zoetry Agua Punta Cana - Endless Privileges
After starting our vacation at the Hard Rock, we were more than excited to head to Zoetry which we knew would be the polar opposite of what we had already experienced. Even knowing this, the resort completed exceeded all of my expectations. We were fortunate enough to stay in Suite 20 which is an Ocean Front room with a plunge pool (next to the gentleman who reviewed it below!). Who doesn't like being 5 feet from the beach??? The room was perfect! We never had a problem with airconditioning and rarely had problems with mosquitos. If we did, it was due to leaving the patio door open. They also provide Off spray which helped alot.
As soon as we got there, Juan gave us a tour of the resort. It was so charming and rustic yet had all the amenities you don't want to give up. Bulgari toiletries, comfy beds, and my personal fave- super awesome robe and slippers. Muy importante! And for people who have to work occasionally, free worldwide calling is such a bonus.
I really enjoyed all of the food, especially lunches at Indigo. Loved the fresh basket of tortilla, plantain and taro chips with guac and salsa. And definitely get the Dominican fried chicken- yummy! I loved that their menus are geared towards healthier eating, with really quality ingredients, although you still have the choice to indulge (above mentioned fried chicken). Olema was my least favorite restaurant. The room service menu is excellent and available 24 hours. With only 51 suites, you know the food is cooked fresh and you will not be waiting long.
Service was, as they like to say at the resort, over the top. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Francis, the entertainment coordinator, got a bingo game going at the pool which was extremely entertaining. But overall, it was a very mellow pool/beach scene. The complimentary horseback ride was entertaining to say the least. And the complimentary massage was one of the best ever- book a full one! It's great that you can use the entire spa even if you didn't book an appt.
What we really loved was walking up the beach and seeing how uninhabited it was compared to the Bavaro Beach area. That is truly what I loved about Zoetry was the feeling of isolation and serenity. We rarely saw or heard guests out after 10pm. My only regret was only booking this resort for 2 nights! If you want serenity now- then this is the resort for you!
