Sunset Jamaica Grande All Inclusive
68 of us stayed at sunset jamaica grande from August 1st to 8th for my wedding which was on August 5th. I must say booking this hotel definitely gave us the most bang for our buck. The prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic.
Check-In
We had a private check in and we were literally in our cabana room within 10 minutes after arriving. Some people were upset with their rooms and were changed immediately. The resort was very accomodating to all requests.
The rooms
We were in the south tower and had a beautiful room with stunning views. Some rooms were outdated but they were clean.
The beach
It was wonderful to swim at the beach and the water was warm but this time of year jellyfish are common and a few people got stung. Nothing serious luckily. They have big rings to sit on which everyone really enjoyed. There are many beautiful pools to choose from if you get tired of the beach and the swim up bar is awesome. I recommend the jamaican lemonade made with vodka! Delish !
The Service
We cannot complain about the service at all, there was always someone there to grab you a drink, take your plate and make your stay more enjoyable. Sonja was amazing in the buffet area!
The A La Cart Restaurants
We had no problem getting reservations at any of the a la carts and all were delicious. I enjoy many different cuisines so it really depends on your palette. My favourite was the caribbean where i got the jerk pork! But the ginger lily and la diva were equally as good.
The Salon
You must remember when getting your hair done you have to take into account the hot and sticky weather which means lots of hairspray. We all had our hair done at the salon and most people were happy. My little sister touched my up a bit but overall they were great and ensured you were happy
The flowers
We got our flowers through the resort and they were beautiful. Much better than I had expected
The Wedding
We were married at the south gazebo at sunset hour. It was a rainy day but we managed to get 20 minutes of sunshine for the ceremony. The minister was fabulous! A short and sweet service that was perfect. We had the reception in St.Annes hall, it was a little hot, Some AC issues. But this is my only complaint. The food was amazing our guests had the option of stuffed chicken or fish topped with shrimp. We did pay for the one love package and it was worth every penny. The cake was more delicious than I had anticipated but we didn't even end up serving it for guests were too full. A regret looking back. Our reception went until 11 then we headed to the disco which we pretty much had to ourselves. A beautiful day with cherished memories
