Honeymoon Review

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Excellence Riviera Cancun, and can’t say enough great things about this resort! We truly did have an amazing time! We stayed in one of the roof top terrace suites with an amazing view of the ocean.

Room: The room was amazing! We had an incredible view form our balcony & the roof top. The pool on the roof was a major perk! The only complaint about the room is that you could hear everything going on in the hallway as if it was right next to you!

Restaurants: our favourite restaurant was Basmati, it was a very small restaurant but the food was amazing! We also ate at the lobster house, Chez Isabelle, Spice & had dinner on the beach. Dinner on the beach was very romantic until it started to pour rain! Our least favourite restaurant was spice; I think it’s just what we ordered.

Beach & Pools:  The beach was gorgeous and sand was incredibly soft.  We had upgraded to the excellence club which was definitely worth it in my opinion. The excellence part of the beach always had plenty of sun beds & chairs. The main excellence pool was fairly quiet but was very nice. Most of the action was at the main pool with the swim up bar.

Spa: My husband and I went for a water therapy treatment & 80 minute couples massage. It was AMAZING! It was the perfect way to start our honeymoon!  

Overall my husband and I had an amazing time at this resort and would go back in heartbeat! The service was excellent, all of the staff we encountered were more than willing to help us with whatever we needed. We also thought the honeymoon sign on our door was a nice touch! During our stay we saw 3 weddings; one at the pier and two on the beach. All three weddings looked absolutely beautiful!
