We had our destination wedding at a nearby resort (Aventura Palace) and chose Grand Velas as our honeymoon spot from 4/23-4/28. From the time we entered Grand Velas's (truly grand) gates until check out, their attention to detail continued to wow us. Highly recommend the Grand Class suites - the 4th floor views were stunning! The chef-driven food is amazing - whether it was Room Service or the restaurants, we were impressed. Our favorites - Sen Lin and Lucca. The Spa is truly 5 star - if you stay at this resort, you MUST get a spa treatment and I highly recommend the water journey. The beach and pools were great as well. There were 2 conference groups there throughout our stay, but we never felt bothered by it - it was lively when we wanted to be around that, yet completely serene/peaceful overall. The grounds were nirvana-like and the service consistently exceeded our expectations - particular thanks to Vania & Dulce with the Concierge, Luis @ Lucca, Victor @ Frida, Pablo @ the Spa, and Renee from the Bell staff - all went above and beyond to ensure we felt special! For the physical beauty of the resort, food, spa, and most importantly service - it's worth EVERY penny. We enjoyed the perfect week and the only negative was we didn't have our wedding here & we had to check out!  We look forward to returning for anniversary stays!
