I was originally about to book with the standard DJ the resort offered, but made a last minute decision to go with Doremixx, after reading the reviews. In retrospect, after seeing others using the "stock" resort DJ, this was one of the best decisions we made; it made the difference between a kick-ass wedding, and a mediocre wedding. I am so happy we chose Doremixx. The price is much more affordable than most DJ's and their price includes cold fireworks, party props and great lighting.

The booking process was somewhat easy, I was a bit nervous about paying through Western Union, especially since they don't email you back right away, but have a bit of patience, it's legit and worth the effort!

We met with Ivan the day after we arrived; he was punctual, very polite and well-prepared. Let me tell you that they have this down to a science. He came prepared with a time sheet and wrote down songs we wanted and didn't want to hear. He was fluent in English and paid close attention to our requests. During the meeting he asked lots of good questions so that there were no misunderstandings. He offered suggestions when necessary. We provided him with a CD with all the songs we wanted him to play. It was a short half hour meeting.

The day of the wedding they arrived at 3:30pm to set up (our reception started at 6). We were very impressed with the lighting they provided. We saw some other weddings at the resort with the standard DJ and they only had two standard spot lights on at all times. Doremixx even had purple lights to match our decor! Not only that, there was an attention to detail we didn't see with others. Even the metal structures used to elevate the lights were covered with white fabric and illuminated from the inside to further enhance the decor. We were super happy that the lighting wasn't static and blinding. Everything was ready to go by the time we made our entrance.

During dinner time they played appropriate songs. Once we did they important dances the party started. EVERYONE was on the dance floor! Everyone kept coming up to me saying the music was great, even the staff told us after that they had never seen such a fun party where everyone was dancing! Temo was the one who showed up and he was amazing! He was great in speaking both English and Spanish with a little bit of humour; which was awesome as we had some guests that only spoke Spanish. I don't think we had guests make requests as they were all enjoying the music. Once the balloons and masks came out it was party non stop! They exceeded our expectations and we were more than happy with them! Would not hesitate to recommend Doremixx to others, they made a huge difference in our reception--wouldn't have been the same without!
