Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa All Inclusive
Resort Review - Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, Jamaica
This resort is gorgeous and we would recommend it to anyone looking to book a wedding in Jamaica!
There were no pan-handlers on the beach - i really liked that!
The resort is big but we didn't find the walking to be an issue. We stayed in one of the honeymoon villas and it was gorgeous. We had a king sized bed, jacuzzi hot tub, an outdoor shower, lots of large mirrors and two sinks (which was AWESOME for getting ready on the wedding day!) All our guests loved their rooms as well! The one-bedroom suites are huge and the views are GREAT! The junior suites are very nice as well.
There are three BEAUTIFUL beaches. One is the main beach, one is an adult beach, and one is the sunset cove beach. The adult beach was near all the entertainment and volleyball. The adult beach and Sunset Cove beach were awesome if it was windy - they are very protective of the wind. The sunset cove beach also housed the jerk chicken hut and the sports equipment (kiyaks, sailing, ect). All the beaches had blue water and were great for swimming. Sunset cove was great for snorkleing!
The food was awesome! There were a TON of al-a-cartes as well. Italian, Mexican, Steak House, Asian, etc. And the buffets were great! Lots of selection.
The day of the wedding was fabulous! We had no issues and everything was on time. Our wedding coordinator (Omneshia) was so helpful and was there to make sure everything ran smoothly. She always answered our emails. We met with her a couple days before the wedding and she took us through the resort to give us a general layout of the wedding day.
Wedding day - 4 PM ceremony / 6 PM Private reception
"Waves of Love wedding Package"
Our wedding day was amazing. We got married on the beach (the main beach). It was off to the end of the beach so no one was walking through our wedding.
We got married at 4 PM. Everyone was asked to be at the beach by 3:30 PM and then the bride and bridal party were picked up in the room we got ready in and taken down to the beach where everyone was waiting. We had our own Ipod and picked our own music (processional, the bridal walk, and the signing of the documents, ect.) I got one of our guests to make sure the wedding planner knew which songs were to be played when.
We did a "civil" ceremony but you can choose to have a religious ceremony if you wish. It was about 10 minutes long and then we were married!
We did pictures (had our own photographer but the resort has fabulous photographers as well!) and then went for our PRIVATE Reception (i highly recommend a private reception) at the Blue Lagoon restaurant with overlooked the ocean. It started at 6 PM. The head table, cake (it was delicious and moist!) and podium for our MC were set up in a private area overlooking the ocean. We rented a microphone and sound system from the resort. Our MC had access to the microphone and just had to press play on the ipod when we were ready to have our dance begin!
ALL in all it was a GREAT day/evening. I couldn't have asked for a better resort, or wedding planner! Everything went perfectly, the resort was beatiful and very clean.
