JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
My family and I have visited the JW Marriott in Cancun a few times and I knew that was where I wanted to get married since our first visit! My husband and I got married there on November 22, 2011. The entire experience at the hotel was nothing less than perfect. The communication was a little rough between the time we booked and the actual wedding day, but I think that kind of comes with the territory when you're planning a Mexico wedding from Illinois.
We planned our wedding in 4 months, to the day (engaged on 7/22/11, married on 11/22/11). If anyone says it can't be done in that amount of time, they must not have worked with Frank, our wedding planner at the resort. From the flowers, to the music, to the timing of the wedding day he was such a professional. He lined up our minister and answered every single question and concern that we had. Frank was so wonderful to work with!
The rest of the staff at the JW Marriott is also very inviting and helpful. They want to make your stay there as relaxing and enjoyable as they possibly can. We spent every evening before dinner having cocktails in the hotel bar which was some of our best memories from our destination wedding. The bar staff was excellent and the bar area was perfect for our group. Very classy, but fun and warm.
The night of the wedding, Frank arranged for us to have a VIP area at a club in Cancun. Might seem a little odd that we went to a club the night of our wedding but I have to say that it was a total BLAST. Everyone had a great time being in our VIP area and dancing and celebrating a beautiful day. We have Frank to thank for this :)
Between the service at the resort, our wedding planner in particular, and our photographer's, Jonathan and Melissa of Del Sol, our wedding was more than we ever dreamed it could be. To see how beautiful it TRULY was, check out our online slideshow from our photographers! http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=616
