Attended a wedding Nov 2011. Resort is beautiful with 3 different restaurants offering gourmet and  organic food dining. Room service is also available in this AI resort, though I do question the quality/quantity of the alcohol in the drinks! Also, though it is an AI they charge additional fees for setting up dining on the beach.

DOC did not appear to have a lot of experience in handling the problem of the officiant coming 1.5 hours late. She suggested using the first language bartender to an English speaking group. In the end, the bride's uncle preformed the service. DOC was friendly and had everything set up for the wedding.

Pluses: Staff anxious to please, very attentive. Rooms are nice size, but very few ocean front rooms. Thatched cathedral roofs and 2nd floor wood walk paths are special. 50 rooms means possibility to rent out whole resort for wedding party and guests, though a little pricey, but benefits outweighs the costs, IMHO.

Ability to marry at the beach or gazebo-which was so beautiful it needed minimum decorations!. Also, wedding is the only wedding that day, so its really the bride's day!

Complementary activities like Spanish classes, yoga on the beach, horseback riding, wine tasting and kayaks.

Negatives: not many, but the ocean water was dirty, maybe caused by erosion?, leading to a dirty beach. (In fairness to Zoetry, their staff was constantly cleaning the debris off the beach-something that did not happen with other resorts in walking distance). I spoke with an employee and was told it depends on the time of the year, plus the fact that the resort is on a Bay. Other times the beach is sparkling clean, he suggested I call before making reservations next time. And there will be a next time, the place is lovely.

We did have a problem with loud animal (?) noises the last night of our stay, and had to be insistent that we be moved to another room. At first they were not accommodating, but after an hour of discussion, they finally agreed. The staff initially just said to deal with the noise, which was very loud and disturbing, something that we were not willing to accept at a 5 star resort with 5 star pricing! But overall, very please with Zoetry.
