Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa All Inclusive
First of all, thanks to all the ladies on the forum for answering all of my questions! Overall, the wedding was incredible and all of our guests had a great time.
Hotel-
I love Dreams. The hotel is gorgeous, and the service is incredible. I did a site visit in August, and while I fell in love with Dreams, I was still a little concerned that some of the guests would not love it as much as we did. We had no issues - all of our guests had incredible rooms and really enjoyed the hotel. Every room had a great view, and nobody had to switch rooms. We arrived on December 16, and the hotel was pretty empty. It started getting busier every day we were there.
My husband enjoyed the entertainment staff - he played beach volleyball and football for hours every day and had a great time. We also did a pub crawl with David which was a lot of fun.
Coordinator - Yarai
Yarai is amazing. I was concerned that I wasn't hearing from her enough when we were getting closer to the wedding day, and that she wasn't completely understanding my "vision" for the event. I was wrong, she exceeded my expectations and I'm so grateful! She also gave us little hints, like to book the DJ myself instead of through the hotel to save $60/hour.
Rehearsal Dinner - Portofino terrace
The rehearsal dinner was great! Yarai had me decide on 2 appetizers, one soup, and one dessert for the group but the main course was a la carte. When we arrived, they had little menus set up that listed 6 entrees. I immediately found the head waiter and told him that we were supposed to be able to choose from the entire menu for the entree and he made sure to deliver the full menus to each guest and let them know that they could choose.
The terrace was set up beautifully and the service was amazing (as usual).
Wedding Ceremony - Beach
The ceremony was incredible! I had asked Yarai for a sheer hot pink chuppah and it turned out so beautifully! I had Lola from Florenta set up starfish lining the aisle, and roses down the aisle and it was so beachy and romantic.
Yarai did a great job managing the timeline and making sure that we all knew where we were supposed to be at all times.
Following the ceremony, we walked a few feet up towards the gazebo for the cocktail hour. They set up a few tables for guests to sit and relax, and they seemed to enjoy it (we were busy taking photos with the wonderful Gilda Badillo).
Wedding Reception - Cascade Terrace
We only had 24 guests, but the reception was beautiful. We had 3 dinner tables set up on the top level of the terrace (closer to the pool) along with a bar. Our centerpieces (by Lola from Florenta) were a dozen hot pink roses and a dozen white roses (I really hope Gilda got good pictures of the centerpieces because they were beautiful!).
On the lower level of the terrace (closer to the beach) we had DJ Ricardo Patino set up, and a dance floor outlined by chinese lanterns. We also had palm trees lit up hot pink/purple (we only paid for 8, it looked like 10+ of them were lit up). I was concerned that the terrace would look a bit empty, and not quite festive enough, but believe me - it was gorgeous!
DJ Ricardo is amazing! He's the nicest man and worked so hard. Since we had a smaller wedding, it really allowed all of the guests to let loose and be a little goofy. The guys ended up borrowing DJ Ricardo's microphone and making it a "karaoke" night. It was hilarious and random hotel guests were stopping us the rest of the week to let us know that they really enjoyed watching the party.
We had Lunas de Fuego booked for 15 minutes with 2 dancers and recorded music. They ended up bringing live music, and it was amazing! They're so talented and very entertaining to watch.
Yarai suggested having everyone hold sparklers for the first dance, which looked amazing.
Obviously, you can't really see the sparklers in this picture but it gives an idea of what kind of decorations we had!
I'll post more pictures once I get them back from Gilda!
Overall, the wedding was incredible. It was so much more than I expected, and everyone had a great time. The service was top notch, they even made special drinks for the reception that matched our wedding colors. I'm really impressed with Dreams and would recommend this venue to anyone! I can't wait to go back.
