Pros: WC was attentive, Site was beautiful, Good Food
Cons: A/C issues, Semi-hard beds (typical in Mexico)

The resort was beautiful  The rooms were nice and modern and our suite was especially nice and spacious.  The beds were not the softest, but I have stayed in many resorts in Mexico, and that seems to be the norm.  The staff at the hotel was very nice and attentive.  The food was very good for an all inclusive, with many options to satisfy almost any palate.  There were several very nice restaurants as well as a little "Discotheque"  which was fun for our large group, on the nights before the wedding.  The pool was a big hit.  There was a little cliff that people could jump off of into another little pool, as well as a slide.  At first I was concerned that these features would attract a lot of little kids, but all of the adults found it just as / more entertaining.     The gym was very nice and had all of the basics, cardio equipment, free weights, a few machines, all overlooking the ocean.  The spa was amazing....very serene and beautiful inside, with nice pools and saunas etc.

As for the wedding - from the beginning of the process, all the way to the final details of the wedding, Our WC (Eva) was on the ball.  She was very attentive and worked with me through all of the details of my beautiful wedding.  We had 73 guests, and they hotel was able to accommodate all.  We were able to negotiate good room rates for our guests.  We had all the events their at the resort, including the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, cocktail hour and reception.

There are several options for the wedding venue, we choose the Jetty.  It worked out well because it was out over the water. The decorations were minimal, but if we had more I doubt they would have even showed up, b/c we had all bridal party standing in the cabana thing with us.  It was windy on the Jetty, so if you want to wear your hair down, I would suggest a diff location.

We had the cocktail reception on the beach, while we took pictures and they set up the DJ and the dance floor.  We had a light up dance floor, that changed colors and made for amazing photos.  They made us custom cocktails that matched the dresses/theme.

The reception was there on the beach and the DJ was good.  We gave him a list of acceptable genres and artist and he stuck by it.  He also did all of the announcements for the different events (bouquet toss, cake cutting etc)

We had so much fun, we had to extend the reception another hour.

All in all I would highly recommend this resort to any bride to be planning a destination wedding.   (BTW the price listed was just for the basic package...we added on for the cocktail hour, reception, dance floor, DJ etc)

Thank you for this post it is good to hear how well everything went for you on your wedding day! I know this was quite a long time ago now but I am wondering who the photographer was for your wedding? Did you bring in your own photographer or use the one they offered on site (which is Positive Photo Studio now)? Thanks!

Thanks so much for the review we are having our wedding there next March and am looking for exactly what you had with the beach reception dj etc. with probably similar numbers of people. Just wondering how much it ended up costing with all the extras you chose? I have been trying to get a quote from the resort but they just keep sending their package prices!
