After doing our research and getting referrals from several people, we decided on the Royal in Playa del Carmen to have our destination wedding. And trust me, we were not disappointed. For starters, the resort is beautiful and is very high end. The service was exceptional. We had over 80 guests fly in and stay at the Royal for our wedding and all of them were also WOW’d with the exceptional service, great food, and fabulous accommodations.

When arriving at the resort you are immediately in awe with the grandeur and elegance of the resort. Every room was a suite. They all had a fully stocked bar, jacuzzi tubs, and balconies with hammocks. They had several pools to accommodate guests whether they wanted to relax in a quiet pool and read a book, another pool to play volleyball, have a swim up pool next to their room, or swim up bar. The beaches were beautiful and there were plenty of chairs and cabanas for the guests. There were several restaurants available to the guests. Whether you were in the mood for Italian, Sushi, authentic Mexican, or buffet..it was available and tasted great! 

The wedding coordinators did a fantastic job! Everything from the flowers to the cake to food to the DJ. I was a little concerned about getting my make-up and hair done without a trial run. But it looked amazing!!! The food served during our reception not only had a gourmet looking presentation but tasted  gourmet as well. We used a photographer through our wedding package who did a great job. However our main wedding photos came from our "Trash the Dress" session through Del Sol Photography. Check them out!

My husband and I have traveled to Playa del Carmen and Cancun several times and this by far was the BEST resort we have stayed at. The whole wedding experience surpassed our expectations. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. This resort truly lays the foundation for not only for an awesome time but a beautiful wedding with memories to last a lifetime!
