We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe July 2010.  We absolutely loved it!  The staff was very friendly, upon our arrival at the resort we were greated at the door with a refreshing drink.  Then, the check in process was very quick.  The concierge was also very helpful in giving reccommendations for local restaurants.  Although the resort does have several nice restaurants we like to get out in the town and try the local cuisine.  The resort grounds were kept very clean.  We stayed for a week and it was amazing!  I would definitely stay at the Riu Santa Fe again.  We were not even engaged at the time, but there was a wedding during our stay.  The wedding was on the beach right in front of the resort pools.  Even though the pools were closed, guests were still sitting in the pool leaning over to watch the wedding.  This is something I did not like.  If getting married there, I would be sure to ask if they could have the pool cleared out before the ceremony. Other than that, drinks were good, food was good, and service was good!
