Planning a destination wedding comes with a great deal of unknowns. Despite all the reviews you read, you never know what you're going to get. When it came to my wedding photographer though, Sascha Gluck not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Leading up to the big event, Sascha was prompt and thorough in his correspondence with me, which gave me confidence in his ability and professionalism. I even emailed him the day before the wedding asking him to arrive an hour earlier than we had originally planned, and he quickly responded with the okay. 

You don't hire a photographer for his professionalism alone, though, and it is in Sascha's ability to capture the spirit of the moment that makes him an outstanding photographer. Sascha's images of the wedding were full of vibrancy, energy, and joy--the same emotions we were filled with that day. Instead of cookie-cutter, posey-posey wedding photos, Sascha used his creativity and often experimented with his shots. He and his assistant worked ceaselessly throughout the day, taking as many pictures as possible within an 8 hour period, and when we got the photos back, it seemed impossible to choose 320 from the nearly 700 pictures posted on his website. 

Perhaps the thing I appreciated most was the attention he gave to my grandmother. 79 years old with Parkinson's Disease, it was a challenge for Omi to come to the wedding, but she was determined. It's easy to overlook the elderly, but when Sascha came, he paid special attention to her not only in person, but especially in his photos. He captured beautiful moments between my grandmother and myself at the same time he showcased her strength and grace. Charmingly, whenever Sascha spoke to her, he spoke to her in German, her native language, which I know she loved!

Sascha is a photographer who clearly puts a great deal of pride into his work and recognizes how monumental this day is for his clients. He works ceaselessly, is comfortable to be around, and most importantly, produces stunning pictures that perfectly capture the spirit of the day.
