We got married at Dreams on June 11, 2011.  We had an amazing time and loved everything about it!!  Dreams is a great resort and we are so happy with our decision!!

Resort Dreams Los Cabos - A

When choosing a resort in Cabo for our wedding, we knew that we wanted an All-Inclusive and we also wanted a resort that could cater to families as well as our crazy friends.  After reading tons of reviews and then doing a site visit in Oct., we knew that we had made the right choice in choosing Dreams Los Cabos.  We had about 75 guests attend our wedding including older adults, small children, young adults and in between.  Everyone had an AMAZING time!  The resort grounds are beautiful and the staff really work hard to provide great service.  During our wedding weekend, the resort was fully sold out so service at the restaurants was a bit slow but that's expected and after all, your on vacation so who's keeping track of time!

For an all-inclusive, the food is not bad.  I think with every all-inclusive, you find food that you like and some that you dislike.  Dreams has a great selection and plenty of options to find your liking.  Breakfast buffet at El Patio was always good with a great selection including an awesome omelet station.  Himitsu has some great choices and surprisingly the sushi was decent.  I also enjoyed the seafood at Oceana.

The rooms were spacious and clean.  We had the honeymoon suite however, it turned out that quite a few of our guests were also given the same room without paying for an upgrade so it didn't turn out to be too special for being the wedding couple.  We didn't care too much though since we were honeymooning at a different resort.  I am assuming the fact that the hotel was sold out was the reason for it.

Wedding

Wedding Coordinator - Yarai A++++

Yarai is simply amazing at what she does.  Her communication with me was always good but I did start to get nervous as we were just a week before leaving for the wedding and it was some times taking 4-5 days to hear back.  Once we arrived and met with Yarai, all of my worries went away.  She went through the entire breakdown of the wedding events and made us feel at ease that everything would turn out perfectly.  She helped us organize and put together our welcome event which turned out awesome!  The day before the wedding she came to my hotel room and I handed over all of the decor that I brought down with me...and let me say I had A LOT!! Probably about 3-4 suitcases full!  She made us feel that anything we wanted was possible and took all of our requests and made them happen.  She works so hard and even with weddings every single day, she makes every wedding just as important and her hard work shows.  She is simply amazing to work with.

Welcome Event - A+

We chose to have the bonfire on the beach for our welcome event.  It was one of the best decisions we made.  We were a little hesitant at first with the price but our guests had a GREAT time and we are so glad we decided to go through with it.  The staff did a great job of setting up the lounge furniture and cocktail tables on the beach.  They also set up some beach mats around the fire and had all the fixings to make s'mores.  The s'mores were a huge hit with the kids.  They had a full bar set up with wait service and we also had the sound system with speakers set up and used our ipod for music.

Ceremony @ Gazebo - A+

We had our ceremony at the gazebo at 6pm.  I asked for tall vases with submerged flowers to line the aisles.  We had a small table under the gazebo set up for our sand ceremony.  The ceremony was beautiful!!

Officiant - Marco Arechiga - A++++++++

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Marco and his ceremony services.  He did such a fabulous job with our ceremony.  All of our guests still talk about how memorable he made it and how it was different than any other wedding they have attended.  He knew when to lighten the moment and he truly speaks from the heart.  He was simply amazing!!  Ladies I highly suggest you secure him for your ceremony...I promise you won't be sorry.

Cocktail Hour - A

We were taking pictures during the cocktail hour but all of our guests said that the food was god and they enjoyed the music trio that played live music.

Reception - A+

We had our reception at the oceana terrace.  We were very glad that we chose this location as it was so much more private than the cascade terrace.  Not too many people walk through this area so it felt like a nice secluded area away from the main crowd. Yarai did a great job of making sure everything was set up how I wanted it.  My husband is persian so we asked to have an extra table set up at the reception to tie in some persian culture.  Te table looked great!  Unfortunately,  the lounge furniture was put in the back so not many people even used it.  So I probably could have saved some money by not renting them.  It looked nice though :)

We got off to a bit of a late start so we made sure to tell the wait staff to keep things moving along so we could get to the dancing.  We had about 10 round tables plus our sweetheart table and one table for the kids.  The morning of the wedding, I asked Yarai if it was possible to have one of those pineapple's that is made into a face put on the kids table (I did a tequila theme for all of the tables but the kids table was named pina colada) not only did she have one on their table but it was probably the coolest pineapple man I have ever seen!  The kids loved it!

We skipped the garter/bouquet toss since we were short on time.  After the toasts, we started the dancing and I swear time just FLEW by!  It felt like it was only 10 mins!!  I would say the only downfall to the whole wedding was that the music had to be off by 10:30 unless you move the party inside.

We also had fire dancers perform a 15 min show which was fabulous!  Our guests still rave about it and it was a nice treat for everyone.

Dinner:  We used the gold menu and offered our guests a choice from Surf & Turf (filet and lobster), Mahi Mahi or a beef tenderloin filet.  All 3 were very good and all of our guests said great things about them.  The reception food is WAY better than any other meal we had all week at Dreams.

Cake:  We chose the tres leches cake and although we didn't even have it served to everyone (guests were too busy dancing to care) we loved it.  It was very very good.

Flowers - Lola with Florenta - A

Lola was great and easy to work with.  She caters to your budget and always replied to my emails promptly.  I used natural touch bouquets so I brought them all down with me so I used florenta mainly for the centerpieces.  I also brought with me 100 loose stem green cymbidium orchids and asked her to mix them in with the real flowers on the tables.  They turned out great.  I didn't care for the visible rubber bands used to tie the floral arrangements too much but I also wasn't paying top dollar for them so I guess you get what you pay for.  Overall I was happy with the domestic flowers that were used and would recommend Florenta to other brides.

DJ Fradal - A

I was a little skeptical when booking Fradal since there weren't too many reviews on him. It didn't help that he forgot about our scheduled meeting when we arrived in Cabo but he ended up rescheduling and it all worked out.  He was a little unorganized during our meeting but I must say that the day of the wedding, everything went smooth with him and he did a great job. We gave him several Persian music songs prior to the wedding and he did a great ob of incorporating them into the reception and the dance floor was always busy. From the ceremony music to the reception, we were happy with his work.

We also used the video included in our package for the ceremony and we were pleasantly surprised with the video they sent us. The disk included the entire ceremony and then a 2 min highlight video.

Here is the 2 min highlight video: (hopefully works)

Overall we had an AMAZING wedding!!
