The staff at DJ Doremixx with whom we worked for our wedding at Azul Sensatori (Patricia for logistics and Ivan as our DJ) were AMAZING! The initial communication was professional and they provided all of the details you need up front to make an informed decision about hiring them. The one concern I had was paying the deposit through Western Union, which I had never done, but it worked out fine.
We met with Ivan at our Resort three days before our wedding, and we felt extremely at ease with him and left that meeting assured we had hired the right company. Speaking with Ivan certainly got us even more pumped for our reception. He went over all of the details (timeline, must play songs, songs that should not be played, first dance songs, etc.), and also showed us some photos of past weddings at which he DJ'ed. He was unable to get the specific version of the song I wanted for the Father/Daughter dance but we had it on our iPod, which he was able to use.
At the reception, Ivan was a great MC and announced the parents, bridal party, and us wonderfully and just as we had discussed. He played great dinner music, and worked with us to time the speeches (we had three) throughout the dinner courses. Before the dessert course, we did our first dances (he provides fireworks for the bride/groom dance!!!) and then we got the dance party started. In addition to playing great music, which got all the guests up on the dance floor, he and his staff handed out great props--balloons, masks, and glow sticks. Everyone LOVED them and we got some great pictures!
About an hour later we did the cake cutting, for which he played Pour Some Sugar on Me! And then, it was back to more dancing. He took requests from our guests and made sure to play them before the night was over.
I can't say enough positive things about Ivan, Patricia, and the staff at DJ Doremixx. They made our wedding reception very memorable and I have already begun recommending them to friends who are planning destination weddings in Mexico!
