My husband and I were married at EPM on 5/20/2011. Yamina was our wedding coordinator and she was fabulous!

We had 18 guests attend our wedding.

My communication prior to arriving on site was mostly via email. Thank goodness for this board because I realized as my date got closer, I was missing some vital information from Yamina that was never emailed me prior to our arrival (selections of the cake, flowers, etc.). So I had to contact Yamina by phone to have her send me that information right away.

When we arrived on site, I left a message at the front desk for Yamina to let her know that we were there and that we'd like to schedule a time to sit down with her to go over all the final details and to get our blood work done. We didn't hear back from her, so the next day, we went back to the front desk so they could track her down for us. When we finally met Yamina, she was a delight. I was a little annoyed that there was no communication with us until that point and that there was no schedule outlined for us to finalize everything prior to our wedding (which was in 2 days at that point). She asked that we come later on that day to have our sit down. So we did. We went over all the final details and provided her with copies of all our identification requests. She then informed us that the doctor won't be on site to do the blood work until the next day...which was fine with my husband...he hates needles.

We selected the Gold Package, and included with that was a sunset cruise, which I DEFINATELY recommend. We did the cruise the night before our wedding (right before our rehearsal dinner) and it was SOOOOO romantic!!!! It set the tone for us that in less than 24 hours, we'd be husband and wife. We really enjoyed the cruise and highly suggest it if it's included in your package. Remember to arrange your cruise with the concierge because this isn't something that is handled by the wedding coordinator.

Yamina was kind enough to set up a private rehearsal dinner for our group which was awesome! She had a nice sign put out front of the restaurant that read "Kera & Darrell's Private Rehearsal Dinner". I was really excited to have the whole restaurant to ourselves! We had a great time!!

On the morning of the wedding, I arranged spa packages for my bridal party. They LOVED it!!!

I also used the hair salon that was included in the package to style my hair for the wedding. I curled my hair myself and had them pin it up into a nice bun and accent it with a fresh flower. When we had our sit down with Yamina, I told her that I geminately wanted to do the fresh flower in my hair for the wedding and she said she's have the flower ready and waiting for me when I arrived to the salon. That didn't happen. I had to call the front desk so they could track her down. Someone brought the flower over in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the flower snapped off right after the ceremony and it wasn't fixable. I was really upset because it looked beautiful and I really wanted the flower to be in my hair for the remainder of my pictures.

I did my own makeup for the wedding.

We had our ceremony at the Gazebo which was very nice.

We had our cocktail hour at X-Lounge which is right on the beach and made for beautiful scenery! We also used the Mariachi Trio for our music selection.

We had our Reception at the Event Terrace. It was spectacular!!! It’s secluded, the decorations and set-up was absolutely beautiful!!!

We also hired a DJ for our reception which was a very nice touch!!!

We ran into a minor issue with our cake being delayed though…so for our inconvenience, they extended our reception an additional hour.

The waiter’s for our reception were great also! We included them in all the fun as we all danced the night away!!! I didn’t want it to end! We all had a GREAT time!!!!

Aside the communication issues, I would definitely recommend EPM!! The resort itself is beautiful and the service was wonderful!!!
