We had a destination wedding at Dreams la Romana, and were interested in a photographer other than the hotel's photographer (due to a lack-luster album at the hotel).  After much research and a recommendation from the hotel (for a reliable company), we ended up choosing Huellas del Caribe.

This was the best decision we made for our wedding!  The company was very easy to work with, despite being in another company.  The prices were reasonable, and despite the fact they were based in Punta Cana, they were willing to come to La Romana for no additional charge.  We ended up with an engagement photo shoot on a separate day (which allowed us to make sure the photographer would show up, and allow him to get to know our personalities), 8 hours of photography, a video of the ceremony,  extra photo books for our family, DVD's of EVERY photo taken, and MANY hard copies (it depends on the photo size how many you end up getting--ie more 4x6 than if you choose 5x7) so we were very happy with our value received.

On a more artistic note--the photographs turned out AMAZING!  You only take wedding photos once (theoretically), so it was important to me to have special memories and not just blase photos, and Huellas del Caribe definitely delivered.  We had some photos taken before our ceremony at Altos de Chavon, which was such a unique setting and I strongly recommend for anyone else considering a wedding in La Romana.

The photographer was EARLY on both occasions (the engagement shoot and the day of the wedding), which was a big relief for me, he was easy to communicate with (his English was excellent!), his photos were outstanding, and he was very efficient.  After the ceremony, photos and the DVDs were available within one week (plan on collecting them this if you're staying after the ceremony).  Photo books (once we picked the photos) were completed and received at our door in the US within 2 weeks.

I would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a photographer in the Dominican Republic--whether it be for a wedding or another event.  They were professional, easy to work with, easy to communicate with, and took exceptional photos.
