Pros: good location, good service, free international calls, good food, not too big, jacuzzi in every room, Spanish wines
Cons: public beach, agressive muzzies in muzzies season, price are in USD but billed in Pesos

We booked thru AirCanada Vacations, 1 week @ the Royal PDC Mastersuite.  It is a bit more pricey, but mastersuite offers FREE international calls (most of our guests are from Europe and North Africa, and my MIL's forte is phone-rathon), FREE wedding ($400 extra if we stayed at the junior suite), a big separate area for my hubby to hangout and play cards with his boys while I can just zzz in the bed with minimum disturbance, a bigger balcony for boys cigar nites.  In room mini bar (not very mini) includes loose bottles of Grey Goose, JB, and other premium liquors for the boys nites, junior suite's liquors are locked in a cabinet.  A lot of subtle differences between junior suite and mastersuite aside from the size of the room, i.e. liquors, soaps, coffee, chips are a notch better, overall, mastersuite totally worths it.

Check-in: A+

We checked in thru the Romance Concierge.  2 beautiful blondes greeted us with drinks and cold towels, explained everything.  They didn't have any presidential suite (mastersuite with a private pool)available until the next day, so we didn't upgrade as we are too lazy to move once we unpack! LOL

Restos: A+

Food are way more better in the Royal's restos than restos in the Gran Porto.  My dad is a chef, so I am very picky on food.  Food at the Royal were pretty good in general, every guest was pleased and found what they like to eat.  The staffs made extra effort to put everyone in tables of 8 in the same area. I love their Spanish wines (no extra fees), as most of the 5 stars in the area only serve Argentina wines.  We also tried the Chef's Plate one night, it was ok, but for someone who eats at restos every lunch for biz, and living in Montreal, it was not a WOW ..K.O..3 Micheline stars experience.  However, it is pretty intimate, romantic, fancy for most of the people.

Location: A+++

Guests can walk out and do their shoppings without a cab everyday!  Mega and Walmart are a few blocks away.  This is a huge plus, as we don't wanna trap our guests in the resorts for 7 days.

Beach: B

Public beach with some rocky area, but this is out of the resort's control.

Room Service: A+++

24/7 room service is a MUST for boys nites, the staffs made their effort to satisfy hungry men every nite.  One night, they had to carry 7 cheese burgers + beers + pepsi + etc by hands (becuz a crazy wife kicked out her hubby, and the drunk hubby was zzz in the hallway, blocking the cart).

Wedding: A+++

Zulma was my WC, Joaquin was the captain of the night.  Everything was perfect!  I had a bridezilla moment and thought it was going to rain, they kept re-assuring me, and at the end, they moved EVERYTHING from the beach to inside the Timeshare office at the last minute.  I felt a bit bad after, when it didn't rain.  They said..no worries...as long as they got a happy bride, they are happy too.

Reception food: B+

We did a tasting before the wedding and everything was great.  However, at the reception, the lamb was overcooked :-(   I guess it is hard to cook lamb in a huge batch.  The soup, salad, chicken and dessert were great.  For wedding cake, we picked the chocolate almond flavor, it was very tasty.  Hubby was sad that he only got 2 bites.
