We are so happy with our decision to go with Mel and Rob for our 5/5/15 wedding. From our very first Skype meeting with them, we knew they were the photographers for us. We were hooked after seeing all of their beautiful photographs, and really hooked- line and sinker, after meeting them. They are the whole package. This review is long overdue! How long? We celebrated our one year anniversary last month! Sorry Mel and Rob! Anyways, you cannot go wrong with ShoeBox Photography. Melinda Skyped with me and Eric to go over what we wanted to capture and style for our wedding. She walked us through what to expect for the day and worked with us on what to start with in order to get the best lighting and how to finish. Melinda and Rob at ShoeBox Photography are fantastic! When we had our first meeting via Skype we knew right away that they were the perfect photographers to capture our wedding. Planning a destination wedding can sometimes be difficult but ShoeBox helped the planning go smoothly, especially with their quick responses. Finding the right photographer can be a very stressful moment. As I was browsing through websites and reviews, I found Shoebox matched our style and my vision and figured we'd see how they interact with us. Within hours of sending a request, Melinda contacted me and I fell in love :) She made me feel comfortable right from the start and I knew her and Rob would be perfect for us. Choosing Mel + Rob was one of the best decisions for our wedding! Amazing is an understatement! The communication with Mel was amazing. After my first inquiry she asked me to Skype with her and I knew she was special, vendors are always so busy they prefer to email. We skyped and discussed all the important things including budget and she definitely accommodated my budget as much as she could. I came upon ShoeBox almost accidentally after having looked through the local / in-house photographers' portfolios in Punta Cana. I had almost given up on the hope of having beautiful portfolio of my wedding pictures when I realized Rob & Mel existed. Planning a wedding is never an easy task and planning a destination wedding is even harder. You lose control over your choices and you definitely have to roll with the punches.
