Pros: Restaurants, pools, bar, entertainment, wedding
Cons: nothing...
I also had a little bit of communication trouble with the wedding coordinator but once we were there, we met with her and she took care of everything. Everything I wanted and more she did.... I couldn't have asked for anything better. Have faith in this resort and just go with the flow. The rooms are amazing. We stayed the first two nights in a Junior suite and then once we were married we moved into the honeymoon suite. Absolutely the best room i've ever stayed in. Spice was one of our favorite

Our Wedding was April 5th and it truly amazing! I as well as my mother-in-law are very detail oriented and had some minor issues but overall were blown away with how beautiful everything was.
Flight: first of all some brides mentioned that the airplane offered a closet for the wedding dress. We flew AirTran and they did not have a closet available. So, I rolled my dress (sleeping bag style) into my carry on and it worked out fine. Depending on who you are flying with be VERY careful with

Pros: Stunningly beautiful wedding location
Cons: lack of communication and information.
We are getting married here in less than three weeks and I cannot get hold of our coordinator Nayeli. She is our third coordinator to date. The first 'Gustavos' was fired before we got to meet him. Noone informed us until we turned up for our scheduled meeting with him. Then, an hour and a half later, we were shown round by 'Daniella'. She told us lots of information but gave us nothing in writing to confirm. She promised to send out details of menus, flowers etc. We contacted her to book

I just returned from spending 5 fabulous nights at Excellence Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon and it was absolutely AMAZING!! My husband and I were blown away by how beautiful the resort was and how private and quite it was compared to the "family" resort we got married at in Cancun. The service was wonderful and the staff always had a smile on their face and treated you so well! I HIGHLY recommend bringing American dollars for tipping...we spent over $200 on tipping the staff but they were ve

My husband and I got married on June 1, 2011 at this beautiful resort. We wanted to have a very small intimate wedding and EPM delivered everything we could hope for and more.
I had my heart set on getting married on the beach until we arrived and I realized how wedding it was. Also the beach did not offer any shelter from the sun and we were worried about our parents sitting in the direct sun during the ceremony. We decided to go with the gazebo and it was a perfect choice! We did

My husband and I were married at EPM on 5/20/2011. Yamina was our wedding coordinator and she was fabulous!
We had 18 guests attend our wedding.
My communication prior to arriving on site was mostly via email. Thank goodness for this board because I realized as my date got closer, I was missing some vital information from Yamina that was never emailed me prior to our arrival (selections of the cake, flowers, etc.). So I had to contact Yamina by phone to have her send me that info

Pros: undeniably beautiful location, weather, all-inclusive, luxurious, five star, doting staff, private (off of main hotel zone)
Cons: long distance from where i live
From the moment we arrived at EPM, we felt relaxed and spoiled. After being greeted by a bell hop, you are handed a fresh cold towel and a chilled glass of champagne to make you instantly forget that you've spent your entire day on a stuffy airplane.
We arrived 4 days prior to our wedding ceremony. The first night we unpacked, ate dinner and just took in the beauty of our new home for the next 10 days. The following day after lounging on the beach and soaking up some much needed sun, we retur

Pros: Yamina! Yamina! Yamina!
Cons: It's too far away from my house!
Okay, so the resort and the rooms are beautiful and impeccably maintained and that is important, but the staff is what really pushes this place into the realm of legendary.
Yamina, the wedding coordinator is doing quite a few weddings a week all on her own, yet she is on top of everything. I was so nervous when I arrived, then she came to meet us with a color coded binder with everything we had ever discussed about our wedding in it. Seriously ladies, don't stress the small things befo

Pros: Impecible service, amazing food, incredible rooms, the best wedding coordinator
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer
We took our first trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres in late August of 2009. They catered to our every need, the customer service is the best we have ever had at a resort. My then boyfriend, proposed to me on the beach there on 8.27.09. We loved the resort so very much that we wanted to have our wedding there, so a month later, we had booked our trip to go back and get married on that amazing beach where we got engaged.
From the very first contact that I had with the EPM Wedding Coordinat

Pros: Food is good, Lots of pools, perfectly maintained, Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing around it, expensive
Just came back from a site visit and we were very impressed. We have booked our 2011 wedding here. Everyone was courteous and helpful, the food was good and there was plenty of it, room was clean, the whole property was very well maintained, lots of pools, hotel was at 95% occupancy and didnt feel packed, there was always room to spread out, beach is beautiful and fairly empty.
The only downsides are that it's pricey, especially if you are not a drinker... there is nothing around the h
