Pros: everything was great
We just got married on Feb 21st at the Valentin Imperial Maya. It was exactly how it looks in all the photos online. We had a small beachside ceremony and all went so smoothly! You just can't helped being non stressed in such a beautiful place. Everyone was so friendly from the front desk to the maids at the resort. We stayed 9 days at the Valentin and were so bummed to have to leave at the end of it all to return to our normal lives.

We had our wedding and honeymoon both at the Valentin and we loved it all. We spent 10 days at the Valentin and would do it again in a heartbeat! Our wedding coordinator was amazing, I didn't have to worry about a thing, she made it so easy. The staff at the resort were so friendly and they all spoke good English. The dinner restaurants were so good...honestly beyond my wildest dreams for resort food. Seriously amazing...all of it! Our room was clean, spacious, and well maintained....and the oc

Pros: Romantic resort, superior service, yummy food
Cons: None
We came back from our dream wedding about two weeks ago. It was absolutely wonderful in every way you can imagine.
Resort: Simply romantic, very peaceful, and I loved the hacienda style decor. The restaurants are great, the grounds are gorgeous, the pool can either be relaxing or fun, depending on what area you decide to set up shop. We plan on coming back for sure!
Checking In: This was the only area we had some issues. Our first check in was great, they had champagne

TRAVEL & CHECK-IN: A-
Our trip to Mexico was very smooth. We had 4 large suitcases in total, and 2 carry-ons, plus my dress. I had prepared receipts for all our wedding stuff (decorations, OOT bags) in advance, but we had no issues. We were practically the last ones to customs and light went green, and they let us through. Transport to the Valentin was included in our wedding package, but since we were traveling with Fi’s mom, we asked to bring her with us. They charged us $80 USD ju

Pros: BEAUTIFUL! Great coordinators! Delicious Food!
Cons: hard for large parties to eat dinner at restaurants
2 years ago we visited Valentin for a 5 night vacation. The resort left such an impression that we knew if the time ever came to get married, it would be here. In September 2010, my fiancé popped the question and we booked our wedding the day after.

We were married on October 21, 2011 at Valentin with 50 of our friends and family members as witnesses. We had the most amazing wedding week. Everything went so smoothly and t

Pros: Beautiful resort, great wedding coordinator, FUN!
First let me start by saying that we love the Valentin Imperial Maya. We were there 2 years ago and knew that it was where we wanted to get married so when we actually got engaged and started planning it was an easy decision for us.
Travel: We booked our trip through Greg Thein at RWD Travel. He is affiliated with FunJet and Lomas Travel. We had never used a travel agent before and I was unsure that we wanted to for this but since we had a group going and so many other things to worr

Pros: Beautiful resort and very flexible
I got married at the Valentin on May 7th, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Below are the details:
The Details:
I chose the Once in a Lifetime packaging because we had a total of 66 coming down to the wedding. We booked the Emerald Suite, and Ana surprised us with an upgrade to the Diamond Suite, which was beautiful! We had a 4 person hot tub on our huge outdoor patio, which was very useful for a couple of impromptu late night parties. Since we had so many people coming

We fiance propsed 2 years ago. And we have always wanted to do a destination wedding. So planning it has been a couple year process. We decided on Riviera Maya because we have been to the area before and loved it. We chose the Valentin based on reviews (tripadvisor and bestdestinationwedding.com), travel cost, resort amenities, and wedding package options. Believe me, I had a long list of places and it took me a year to narrow it down. My top picks were Secrets Maroma Beach, VIM, and The Royal P

Pros: wedding coordinators, beautiful grounds, exceptional service
Cons: food at the rehearsal dinner
We just returned from our wonderful stay at the VIM, and EVERTHING was above and beyond our expectations. We worked primarily with Ariadna who was sweet, professional, assuring, and top-notch. Ana also was with us during the ceremony and was also all of those things. The clarity of what I say may be lacking because I have a touch of the flu, but will give it my best shot:
Wedding coordinators: cannot say enough about how helpful and excellent these ladies are! They go the extra mile to m

I just returned from my wedding on Saturday, and I have to say, it's a bummer to be home-we had such a fantastic time!
My husband, Dennis, and I got engaged at the Valentin last summer, and we absolutely fell in love with the hotel and setting. We found it very fitting to go back for our wedding, which was on July 10. We had a great group of 20 people, most of whom stayed from Thursday July 8-Tuesday July 13. My husband and I stayed from Wednesday July 7-Saturday July 17. It was truly an amazi
