Pros: Everything!
We had our wedding at Ceiba on December 3, 2011 and it was the best experience for us as well as our guests. The sales and wedding coordinator Diana, Luis and Paola were so prompt and professional. All my e-mails were always answered within hours. We did a site visit in March 2011 and we were so happy with our choice. They were so helpful in suggesting vendors for floral, decor, photography, hair & make-up, transportation, etc. We were able to meet with many vendors last minute during o

When we were researching resorts for our wedding, we wanted something intimate with a local ambiance and friendly staff. At first, all we found was the same old thing – huge resorts, with pre-packaged wedding plans, and touristy. They all touted to make your wedding “the most perfect day,” with luring deals if you booked so many people. While reasonably priced, these resorts were not what our idea of a wedding in Mexico would be like. Then we looked at Ceiba del Mar. Based on the recommendatio

Pros: Location, gorgeous resort, ability to pick own vendors and personalize wedding, 5 star hotel, fantastic communication, stunning wedding sites
Cons: None!!
Ceiba del Mar: Hotel in general: A+
Ceiba del Mar more than exceeded my expectations from the moment I arrived there for our site visit. I have traveled a LOT (over 30 countries), and I had very high and specific standards for the resort that I was going to ask all of my friends and family to take a vacation to. To say I stressed about the decision is a huge understatement. Choosing the resort was the absolute most stressful part of wedding planning for me, and I spent months and months resea

Pros: Boutique hotel made it more personalized, our guests could all be together and not spread out and the service
Cons: None
We are so happy with the decision our daughter and son-in-law made with choosing Ceiba Del Mar. We had a fantastic experience. Paola held our hands thru every aspect of the wedding. My daughter got married on the veranda over the restaurant and it was gorgeous. Our guests thanked us over and over again for choosing an amazing destination. The service was great and we felt like family almost immediately. It was hard to leave the hotel and our new friends when the wedding was over. They wer

Pros: Cozy, clean, upscale, great pool, PIER
Cons: only 2 restaurants, seagrass coast, far from town
I had my wedding at Ceiba in mid-March, 2011. It was the perfect location for my group of 65 friends and family. Every one of our guests stayed at the hotel, and we had a full week of relaxation and fun leading up to Saturday's nuptials.
The grounds are beautiful. The rooms feel authentically Mexican, and are nice and clean. If you're a bride, request the Penthouse in the building closest to the pier. Its the best! The pier is the reason I chose Ceiba as my wedding destination -- y

I honestly don't even know where to begin... I could write for days about how much we love Ceiba del Mar. Since I can remember, I wanted to have an intimate wedding on a quite stretch of white sand beach. While searching for resorts and venues in Mexico, I stumbled upon Ceiba del Mar in a magazine. From the moment I saw the photos, I instantly knew it was the place for our wedding.
Everything about our stay at Ceiba del Mar exceeded our expectations. The resort was absolutely gorge

Pros: Intimate Space, Beautiful Location, Good Food
We are so glad we had our wedding at Ceiba - it was everything we hoped it would be and more! Here is the brief rundown:
Location: It's a little off the beaten path, but its nice in that its private and not overrun with people everywhere along the beach. The grounds are really pretty, the pool and pool bar is great and the beach is nice. It is PERFECT for a wedding of our size (100 people) because you basically take over the whole place and it is so cozy and intimate.

Pros: Boutique hotel, food, location, room views, wedding options
Cons: Yet to be determined!
Ceiba del Mar - Wonderful! (and we booked it for our wedding next April.) The resort has a very authentic Mexican feel to it. There are 88 rooms, which are spacious and cozy. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. There are numerous options to hold the various wedding events (cocktails, ceremony, reception, brunch, etc.) including the pier, a large terrace/bar area somewhat separated from the rest of the resort so it feels very private, a roof top lounge, pool side, beach, etc. The rain o

Pros: small boutique hotel, personalized service, ocean view in every room, they design your wedding according to your dream, great service
This hotel is amazing, I like it because is really intimate, the best ocean view from every room. The architecture is really mexican so you feel that you are in a destination but with the luxury of a high end hotel. The service is fantastic. what I like the most is that they help you to create your dream wedding, it is not a package so you can design your wedding and they help you to make it perfect. it is a small so can feel that the hotel is all for you and your family and friends. i also like

Pros: quiet, charming, good food, clean, large balcony, plunge pool
Cons: slow, expensive, lack of good shopping nearby
After spending a week with friends and family we ended with our amazing wedding at a private villa in Akumal Playa. We had 102 guests attend our event and were looking forward to 4 nights of seclusion at this all inclusive resort. We chose to go AI - they offer both options there. Since it was the first week in June and slow season we were able to get the largest suite with the huge balcony and plunge pool for about $550/night AI. I still think this is expensive, but it was our honeymoon! We wer
