Pros: stunning scenery, superior and personal service, outstanding and caring wedding coordinator
Cons: nothing
Based on the very positive reviews of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya on Trip Advisor, I was shocked to see little information on them on this website. But I'm so glad we booked our wedding at this resort because it was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend the place to anyone looking to get married in the Mayan Riviera. My husband (yay, I get to call him that now!) and I travel frequently to the Mayan Riviera area and have stayed at other all-inclusives as well as at hotels in Playa del C

Pros: Beautiful hotel, large pools, nice beach
Cons: None
We stayed at Riu Palace Riviera Maya almost 4 years ago and loved it so much that we are coming back this year and getting married at this hotel on the beach! The hotel is very nice, the food is great, and so far the wedding planner has been very helpful. The hotel is taking care of the ceremony, flowers, cake, dinner, etc. as part of the package. The only thing I went to an outside vendor for is photography. I just wanted to make sure I had a professional photographer but I didn't want to pay m

Pros: resort size, service, value,
We stayed at this resort from Nov. 6-16 with 35 of our family and friends for our wedding.
It was my first time in Mexico, so I was unsure of what to expect. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the exceptional service by the resort staff and the cleanliness of everything. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, but thought "Krystal" restaurant had the best food. The breakfast every morning at the buffet was pretty amazing too.
For our wedding, we chose the gazebo location and "Chil

Travel Agent = A++
I found Wendy Hicks on this site (BDW) She was the first TA that truly knew the answers for a destination wedding. Before finding Wendy, I spoke with at least 5 different agents and none were as attentive and knowledgeable about my location/resort. She was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions that we had. Everyone from our party ended up using Wendy to book their trip.

My husband and I married at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya on March 18, 2011, right on the beach. We stayed at the resort with an intimate group of friends and family, and we were all more than pleased with the service, accommodations, and the resort overall. First, as a bride who initially fretted about working with a wedding coordinator in another country (and via email), if, god forbid, I ever had to do it again, I would have no hesitation with working with Ms. Nancy Hernandez. Everything was b

Pros: Small resort, great food, amazing staff
Cons: Some things were inconsistant, but not in reguards to the wedding
We had a large destination wedding with 92 guests...all but 6 of them stayed at the resort.
RESORT:
The resort itself is the perfect spot for a wedding, the layout makes it easy to find people since there is only one pool and one spot to hang out at night. I loved how it was a "U" shape, because it made it so you could actually find your guests and spend time with them. The grounds were beautiful and spotless. There was no smell and no bugs at all. We were upgraded to a larger roo

We got back from our wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico at the Riu Palace Riveria Maya a couple of weeks ago. It was the most amazing and perfect wedding, although I may be biased ;)! I would like to thank this forum for giving me so many great ideas and advice over the past year. Especially all the girls previously married at RPRM! Here is a review of my wedding, let me know if you have any other questions:

Wow, what an amazing wedding we had at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya (RPRM) I am a very happy bride and I highly recommend this resort to other brides. The planning stages worried me a bit when emailing with the wedding co-ordinator but everything worked out perfectly, I couldn’t have asked for anything better! Thanks again to Tammy for the BDW forums, everyone has been amazing and so helpful!!! Accommodations- Riu Palace Riviera Maya (RPRM) – A++++++
