While scouring the internet for our destination wedding, my fiancé and I have seen, heard and Googled it all. We settled on the ever tropical and welcoming island of the Bahamas. We fell in love with the people, white sands and tranquil atmosphere while on vacation some years previous. We booked the hotel and adjoining reception hall but later thought outdoor near the beach after all it if the Bahamas, the invitations had been sent out. I picked out the most stunning dress. Only one thing remained- finding a photographer. The process seemed daunting, to say the least. Should we bring one from Canada, or should we find something local and hope for the best? After all, one of the most precious keepsakes from a wedding is the pictures. While doing online research, we came across Digital Kafe Wedding Photography. Instantly we were impressed with the gallery online and called for a consultation. The owner, Jimmy, was extremely gracious, professional and knowledgeable about the industry, our location and giving us the look and feel we wanted for our wedding. He outlined the different packages his company provided. They were affordable in comparison to Canadian and other local photographers prices, which we thought was fantastic. We choose a package that would allow for our engagement photos, pictures on the day-of for both the bride and groom separately, the ceremony, reception, and then digital copies and hard copies of all prints in a beautifully bound book. In regards to the connectedness of Digital Kafe, they were also able to bring a local makeup artist and hair stylist before my session. All staff were courteous, professional and I have never felt more beautiful in my life as I did that day. Many people have complimented us on our photos as we shared them with friends in Canada and online. They asked about what I liked most about Digital Kafe. Overwhelmingly in mind, I tell them, was Jimmy’s ability to capture the intimate moments of the prep work, ceremony, and reception, but also to put me at ease and make me laugh. Our memories of our wedding day will last a lifetime.
