I got married there May 25, 2016 u ladies need to send the coordinator pictures, bullet points, details details details of exactly it is what u want, cause otherwise trust me, they take their time!! i did the free wedding package and added extras (still ended up spending about 4500$ + photographer and videographer). We did the beach location for ceremony and reception, and rented the dj,so just the fact that it was a private location for both ceremony and reception, this hikes up the price. They already have a pace for the beach location where they do wedding so unfortunately, no you cannot choose. It is though a nice secluded section. Unfortunately it is not close to ANY bar (i had the same idea as u, but unfortunately it was impossible, as the closest bar is a good 10 minute walk!). So what i did to eliminate a bit of the bar price, was that i did the basic one which offered rhum, tequila and one more alcohol beverage. We didnt have a fancy long menu for drinks, but to me, that was enough. As for the photographer, i absolutely love my pictures, the video's quality is not the greatest at all, BUT they have the edited video and pictures ready in one day, so that being said....the video caught every special moment, it is not the best quality (sometimes out of focus), but again, for doing all that work in 24 hours, we do have to give the guys a break, they did a pretty decent job! just dont expect a high quality video. hope this helps

no problem! and yes i did, i got my hair and makeup done and absolutely loved it! i booked the appointment for my bridesmaids and i before arriving though! u just have to send them an email they'll offer you the trial, which i didnt take but thats up to you. I wanted beach waves with half a pony tail so i didnt think paying a trial for that was worth it since it wasnt an updo. My ceremony was at the beach and it was wonderful! everyone wore flats and i wore a pair of cute flat silver sandals with a bow on it...the only reason i couldnt go barefoot even though i wanted to, was because my wedding was at 2pm so the sand would have been way too hot! i hope this helps

I would say go with the free package and add as many extras as you need. I had my wedding there last month, and had the "free" package and added everything as extra because no matter what package you want, if you want to modify something, they will charge you an arm and a leg for everything, so i found it more worth it to take everything individually. I had the buffet as well, and had a private area at the beach, we had the free open bar for the first 3 hours as they offer, and the last hour was only 3 cocktails so it came out to a lot less. However, they still gave us the full open bar for that last hour even though we paid for less, cause i think they didnt want to bother putting bottles away hehe

i am getting married in May and have started asking for quotes for decor, dj, etc. Do you guys find the prices are negotiable or it is what it is? they quoted me 1200$ for the arch which i find a little too much considering there are minimal flowers, but then again i have no idea how the pricing works! Also, when do you confirm everything you want for decor? a couple of months in advance, weeks or when you arrive? thank you ladies!

Hi ladies, im getting married at the gran bahia principe in May 2016! it is great to see everyones experience and tips. So far, ive had great experience and the hotel seems to be be responsive (typically answers within 2-3 days). We have decided to go for a beach ceremony and because the piscis was booked, we will be having our dinner at the beach (private setting) with a buffet. As most brides, I have lots of questions! and i hope i can be of help to you ladies as well For those of you who have gotten married there, what are your dos and donts? and have you taken their photographer and video? They offer TropicOne, from their fb page, they seem to have great pictures but havent really seen any videos, has any of you taken the video and were you pleased? also, i was told that at the palladium, the after party is only until 11pm, is it the same for GBP?
