  1. I've not had a response to my last email which was dated 30th October. I know they are busy with other Brides who are getting married now and have every right to take priority but surely there is a team in place to look after them and people responding to email enquiries.
  2. @@victoriasalv They decided to tell me that due to there only being 4 of us for my wedding that we couldn't have the Excellence Love Package wedding with the cocktail hour and dinner. They suggested to down grade the package and add on the extra's. I had already worked all the pricing out before I booked and the basic package with additional extra's was more expensive than just upgrading to the Love package. I wrote a strong email explained that I had always informed them of how many were attending, what package I wanted and at no point did anyone mention you have to have a min of 10 people for the cocktail and dinner. Anyway they wrote back and said they had spoken to the Manager and they would allow the Love package to go ahead and apologised for how this news had made me felt. Decided to go with the Las Olas so we will still be enjoying ourselves when the sun sets and take more photo's.
  3. The Spa caused me the most stress, booking the appointments was ok. They kept providing me with different prices for my Mother's hair and make up so beware. Get them to send you the price list (or I can email you my copy if you want). Keep emailing them and if you don't get any response, email them again copying Alejandra in (did you have another point of contact before being passed onto the wedding co-ordinators? I did called Adrianna and I copied her into it as well). It's a shame to have these issues before the big day and not, you're not Bridezilla just yet haha. If I can help anymore then let me know. I just need to get all my documents sorted this side 1st. Speak soon. Lynne
  4. @@Emilyhershbain - Emily, Congratulations on your wedding date. We get married 4th August 2016. Yes, Alejandra is my co-ordinator as well and she isn't the quickest in responding (I understand they have weddings each day to attend too but they should also allocated enough time to respond in a reasonable time). I have had to chase her on several occasions until I wrote a strong email outlining my distress. Between Alejandra and the Spa I was ready to call it a day. So far, I've not had too and hopefully won't have to have those thoughts again. You need to email them again. Explain that you are concerned you won't get allocated the DJ on your specific date. They are there to assist in taking our stresses away. I'm sure you will get sorted soon. Lynne x
  5. @@victoriasalv - overcome a few little obstacles with the hotel which was causing me some frustration. Finally got them sorted after several emails (before I flipped and cancelled the whole thing ) Now I'm just dealing with the legal documentation now to understand what's needed (as we have both been married and divorced). Not going to go wedding dress shopping until next year. I know what I want and I'm sure I will find it. How are you?
  6. Can someone offer some suggestion please? I'm undecided where to have my reception with there only being 4 of us for my Wedding. I'm getting married in Aug at 3pm on the Pier. I'm considering either a small intimate table at either Las Olas (having my cocktail hour on the Pier and then being able to watch the sunset later on during the reception) or Oregano. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. @victoriasalv @JenniferH114 No we haven't been to this resort before. We have been to the Moon Palace Grand and we contemplated this one for our Wedding as we loved it so much but TBH the Pier and Adults Only at ERC swayed it a little bit more for us, plus the communication that I've had from the hotel so far is a massive plus for me. We have friends going to ERC tomorrow for their holiday. I will be checking back through the pics but I already know how I want my hair and make up and it's not as stressful with not having to cater for a large congregation. We arrive a week before we get married and then we will have a week to relax afterwards so it's definitely something to look forward too. xx
  8. @@victoriasalv Many thanks for the response. I did calculate everything between the two tiers and what the difference was to add extra's on so thanks for advising this seems the best idea. We are looking to have an intimate dinner near the beach as a 1st option. I'm just waiting for the wedding planner to get back to me to sort out all the details.
  9. Ok so I've just been directed to this forum and for those who have already been married here, your suggestions/tips are welcomed. My wedding is going to be very low key (Aug 2016), in the respect that we are only having 2 family guests present. After calculating the cost from the price list that was sent to me, we have decided to opt for the Excellence Love Package (middle one). Now I know this comes with private bar, hor d'oeuvres and meal etc but after weighing up the cost from the basic package, upgrading worked out cheaper by the time I had added in bridal hair & make up, upgrading the flowers, more pictures included etc than the basic package. I just hope I'm not wasting my money by paying for the next package and I'm provided with the services I have paid for.
