Ladies who have already been married at the Excellence, did you have a translator for the wedding ceremony (those that don't understand Spanish) and did you have to have your wedding certificate translated to english for changing your surname on bank, etc back in the UK? Did you request additional copies of your certificate and did you have them to being home with you or are they posted? These are just some of the questions I have with only having 4 months left to go.

@@victoriasalv as you are a bride getting married the soonest then I can't wait for you to report back more information but more importantly see you pics. My H2B isn't wearing a suit as I think it will be too hot for him by the time 4th Aug arrives so he's got a lovely pair of Armani moccasin shoes, very lightweight light brown Hugo Boss trousers and a white Hugo Boss shirt. 3 weeks today I am going to start looking at some dresses but me and my Mom are going to a wedding show this weekend. I'm having my hair and make up done by the spa as mine is included in my Excellence Love Wedding package and the fee's are reasonable for my Mom to have her hair and make up done as well at the same time as me.

Have your WC not emailed to you a document of your package? I'm on the love package and they emailed me a brochure of things to select in my package from my wedding bouquet, grooms boutonniere , centre piece, cake, hor d'oeurves, meal etc and costing for additional add ons?

@@JaimeCKL I'm just going to have them placed on the table around my centre piece. We are having a round table for the 4 of us so there will be plenty of room. I also have personalised bunting to hang up that says MR & MRS ALLEN Here are some pics of the table set up at Las Olas that my WC sent to me as an example.

@@kjb0528 Generally what you will find is that your WC will be answering questions to people who are getting married sooner. It took my WC about 4 weeks to respond to me and as mine is starting to get closer I'm finding I'm getting responses faster. It does get a little frustrating but you will get a response back soon. If you feel it's been too long then just send a chase email. I have Alejandra as my WC and she was the same at first but these girls have brides to see too at the venue as well as answer questions from brides to be like us. x These are the lights I choose. I only have one table to decorate and they were relatively cheap to purchase and small enough to transport.

@@kjb0528 Thanks for sharing your pictures, they are lovely. I think I'm just going to stick with the in house photographer. As there will be only 4 of us for our wedding, the additional money can be used elsewhere and i'll see if I can come to some arrangement with them for more photographs than the 24 included. I'm sure they will want to make a bit more money. Jaime - I just purchased some LED table lights from Ebay which are battery operated. Some in heart shape and and some in rose shape to go onto our table.

Does anyone have an examples of the quality of pictures taken by the inhouse photographer? I've received correspondence from Juan and know the additional costs but would like to see some of the work also by the photographers from the hotel.

I've received information back from Juan. The only question I have now is how much does the hotel charge for vendor fee's? Is this a set charge or vary?

@@KeriT21 I've got everything but as there is only 4 of us, it's not as stressful as some of you ladies who have lots of people attending. I've purchased personalised bunting to be hung up, table lights, table runner and chair bows, table diamantes etc. I'm going to start looking for my dress 1st week in March so nothing really else to do. I've sent all my documentation to Alejandra who has verified everything so now roll on July until we fly out.

I've just emailed Juan also to see what his costs are an option. I just feel my 1 hour photographer may not be enough time for capturing important memories but most importantly only 24 prints are included and it's around $200 for an additional 12. That's so mega expensive. For lights, I've purchased some table lights which run off batteries. You can also purchase rope lights from Ebay up 5 mtrs which work out considerably cheaper than hiring them.

Ladies, are any of you on the wedding packages? I'm on the Love Package which includes a photographer for 1 hour and 24 pictures so how does this work if you selected Juan to be your photographer? Is this purchased separate to the package? Does anyone have Juan's details so I can discuss with him as well?

@@vanessajfelice awww you get married 2 1/2 weeks after me. Congratulations. I've just goggled some images to give me an idea of the area but as there are only 4 of us it's no major drama but I would like to see how the reception is dressed.

Does anyone have any pictures of how the table/area is set up for Las Olas reception? I'm just deciding on what decoration to take but I'm not sure what is already provided.

How do you get the free hour? Is this something to do with the package you have selected?

It states in the package how long the photographer is for. Mine is for 1 hour which doesn't bother me as I have only my Mom and Step-Dad attending and we will make our fun with our own pics (plus anyone else we may meet).

This was a slight concern of mine as we have selected the 'Love Package' which only includes 24 pictures and they upgrade on the package for another 12 pictures is $200 - this is extremely expensive as in England you would get unlimited for around $500.

@@kathryn78 wow that's alot of people attending, I would hate all the planning for that amount of people. I just wanted a stress free wedding as both my and my Fiance have been married before so we want something more intimate for ourselves. You'll be a married women before me so I can get more tips off you next year and hopefully see some of your pics. Congrats to you too and best of luck with all that planning.

@@kathryn78 yes we are getting married on the Pier and I've chosen Las Olas for our reception (there will only be 4 of us as I want it a very private ceremony). Once Xmas is out of the way then it will fly by and I will start looking for my dress around February. When do you get married? Thanks for the personal experience information. I would have loved the opportunity to go there before we get married but it's so expensive from the UK.

@@kathryn78 What a fantastic opportunity to be able to go and visit and go through things before your wedding. My question would be what standard junior rooms are closest to the Pier for a wedding? You may not have the answer only I don't want to have to trek all the way through the hotel and be very hot before arriving at the pier for my wedding so would like to request a building that's quite close.

@@JenniferH114 Thank you so much for your message. TBH, my last email is regarding some legal stuff and I'm going to make inquiries in the UK so that's why I haven't chased for a response and I totally hear what you are saying. I guess when you are trying to make reservations for services for your special day then it does feel a bit more pressure as you don't want things to get booked up. I have absolutely no doubt these people work endless hours to get everything sorted and respect what they are trying to achieve for each bride individually. This is why I stated in my previous posting that I would expect Brides getting married now have their full attention and they will get round to responding at some point. I guess our big day will be here sooner than we know and we will be expecting their full attention too.
