  1. Hello, We are planning on getting married at the Barceló Maya Colonial in Feb 2017. I found that the prices there for both travel packs for the guests and weddings are very reasonable. Anyone else out there considering Barceló or have any pros/cons
  2. @@dreamweddings Thanks so much for the feedback!!! Now that pricing is coming out for flights I'm getting more and more excited
  3. Hello, I am in the beginning stages of planning my wedding at Barceló Maya Colonial for February 25th, 2017. Although, I am extremely excited about this adventure we have decided to take I am also extremely nervous and stressed. Unfortunately, I am one of those people that like everything planned out ahead of time and have a million spreadsheets all over the place for each project area (Ridiculous I know)!! My dilemma now is that a lot of flights aren't out so we need to wait to start reserving ceremony location and all the other fine details. Besides the fact that it takes FOREVER to get a response back from a planner at the hotel, anyone else have this issue? I would love to hear back from past brides that got married here or had a good/bad experience so I can filter out some of those details now. I would also LOVE to hear from other brides that are getting married in 2017 so we can compare stories/notes along the way. Thanks!! Stacy
  4. Hello, Could you please send me the dinner menu options you mentioned above to [email protected] thank you so much!
  5. Hello, I'm ready to pull my hair out!!! I thought this whole destination wedding thing would be awesome but I can't seem to decide on where to stay in the Playa Del Carmen/Riviera area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe, I'm just looking for too many options in a hotel idk :/ Here's what I am looking for: AL Resort Daily pool games/activities Nightly shows Multiply places to dine Disco with dancing on the beach pool swim up bar Things for older teens to do (14-18) but not overly kid populated since they wont be there the whole time. I have been contemplating on Barceló Maya Colonial, Catalonia Riviera Maya, and Sandos Playacar Beach Resort but am open to new suggestions. Thanks for any help given
  6. I am also doing a destination wedding in 2017, which month are you considering? I am comparing all the wedding packages/pricing for a few hotels but Catalonia is still looking good for an option. How many people are you looking to have? Stacy
  7. Are there any new brides that are getting Married at the Catalonia Riviera Maya in Mexico?
  8. I will know more in a few months but as of now I have for sure 10 rooms(double occupancy) all staying 7 nights. We are a youngish group (33-37) and would prefer pool activities, nightly shows, and a variety of things to do. Just having trouble finding something reasonably priced as well. I will check out the Gran properties thank you
  9. When did you get married here? Were there any group perks given? Thanks for the input I'll check this one out as well thank you .
  10. Hello, I am also in the very beginning stages of planning a wedding in Playa Del Carmen/Riviera Maya for Feb 2017. I am struggling with the property since I like Catalonia Riviera Maya but it seems like the higher end hotels offer more perks for groups. Have you found many hotels to offer group discounts ? Stacy
  11. Hello, My name is Stacy and I am planning a destination wedding for February 2017. I know I'm a bit early but thought I would see if there are any other brides out there also getting married in the area or around the same date? Are there any recommendations on AI hotels that allow kids, daily activities, yet reasonable priced. I looked into Catalonia Riviera Maya which seems very reasonable but am open to all suggestions. Thanks
