I am also having mine at Dreams Punta Cana. I can say the place looks really nice and they are very kid friendly. And your wedding is the only one,on that day and almost everyone has there wedding in Mexico. And from what I have heard Punta Cana is a really pretty place to visit

Congratulations you have heard a lot of good advice. But for us deciding on wedding at home in Texas or a nice beach. Since we both love the beach so the beach it is. It means more to us being on an island with friends and family. And going through a travel agent who deals with destations wedding has been a lot of help.

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with all your planning. I belive the tragent should have given you opitions instead of making you wait and I would see about getting my flight for free since she made such a hugh mistake.

I would start with a getting a travel agent to help you book everything. and the ladys that does this wedsite are great to work with. Because if you are planning for Sept. this year you want to book your rooms and airfare as soon as you can. Some places book very quickly.. Lori

Congratulations. I can say it is very hard choosing a resort. I know i went to Cancun over the summer and you could not get on the beach due to the seaweed. I am having my wedding in Punta Cana in july 2016. I have not visted the hotel but my ta did and she said it was very nice. I can tell you this you might want to choose very soon due to starting that time and due to spring break resorts start booking up. And if you don't want to share your wedding day with another wedding that might be a thing you might want to check out. And as a fellow gluten free person. There is alot of chooses they can choose from.

I am getting married in July 2016 and I am working with a travel agent that I love. and she works for Wright travel. Which is with this website. Barbara is really good and helpful. You might want to check them out. I'm glad I did. And with childcare I have not had to deal with it since mine are teenagers but I have seen people bring small children and there own nannie with them. Some resorts make you pay for people who are not staying there pay a few to be there for the day. And not know the people at first hand I think it would be hard to leave my child with. I think your guest should think about bringing someone they know and the kids know will make everyone feel better. As for the Photographers I am brining my own but I have seen photos from the resorts of there own photographers they make great photos but can be very costly so that depends on how much you want to spend on photos. As for decorations I had a friend who got married in Mexico this year and she brought her own and carried them on the plane but you have to remember the baggage policies of the airline and how many you can carrie on and check. I hope this helps.

Congrats.. I can say you need to make sure first that know as much info about your resort you are wanting to have your wedding at and the destation as well. And is willing to answer all your questions. If you need to see about group booking sometimes you get great deals that way. And will they also help your guest wtih there travel needs. If some of your guest have not traveled that much they will need to know all the rules of the airline and what all they get at the resort. So having a travel agent that will take there time to answer questions is the best. I hope this helps some.
