Sorry for all the posts. Here are some pictures of it helps the visual of the beach ceremony. The ramp coming down, then walking out straight along the wall. Then turning down the wooden walkway to the groom. also the very basic decor inside after we moved it. But it worked. Also added pics of the yacht cruise !!

One thing I will mention with the rain. I didn't realize but if you look at the weather the morning of the wedding and decide to have it outdoors....and then it rains... If the DJ is set up already -they send your group to a restaurant and try to get you as together as they can. But the DJ goes home. No refund. LUCKILY for us the DJ didn't set up yet. At that point I was just kinda like "whatever it will all work out ". You cant control the weather. And to be honest it probably worked out better in the AC. I think there was a lot more dancing that way. They called for 50% chance of rain but 71% humidity for our ceremony time (3pm). And about 4pm the storm came in and lasted awhile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We had the bbq and everything me agreed it was the best food all week. I went back for a 3rd helping of the flank steak. Yes, I said 3. Haha We did a 2 tier cake which Ron and I tasted during the cake cutting. But all the guests said the next day that they didn't pass out??? Maybe bc ppl were up dancing? Be sure to request a piece at everyone's table even if no one is currently at the table. I didn't try any of the desserts on the buffet menu. So I can't comment on those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sorry hit the button too soon. We had vanilla rum. I thought it was very good but the fondant was too that no for my liking. I ordered stuff from Katy and OMG she is awesome. Easy to work with. Her assistant Vero actually dropped and picked up and she was awesome. Hugged me and truly could tell it was genuine Can't recommend her enough. Thanks to all previous brides for the tip on that The ceremony went by in a blur. We got married on the beach. The ramp down can be a little slippery when it gets wet or sandy. So heads up there. Not bad but they may need the railing We had a symbolic ceremony and the minister was very nice. She spoke very good English ( I admit I was concerned) It was about 15 min. With our own vows and our own readings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As I mention I just got back and have so many wonderful memories! It went by so quick. Just a few below: We are from Pittsburgh PA. And while we were there the Penguins (NHL) were in the Stanley cup finals. The only place it was playing was Beeezes, the Teen club. All 40 of us took it over !! We ordered room service and LOTS of beer. The wait staff worked hard and were tipped well ha. It was a very cool experience to watch them win while in Mexico!! Through our package we had 2 extra cocktail parties. The first welcome party was at the yoga place ( I forget the name). FANTASTIC!! Shade, ocean breeze, perfect The staff even had us do a tequila tasting! I didn't plan it but a great surprise! They do want you to buy a bottle at the end but worth it ! The appetizers at these little parties are great. Honestly I thought these would be a waste of time but the cocktail parties were a lot of fun! We booked a yacht cruise with H2oh sun cruise And OMG. WHAT A FUN TIME!! if you are questioning if it's worth the $$ --it is! We had about 40-50 ppl on there and it was awesome! All the guests raved about it. The only negative is that we ran out of some food. But some of my guests are big eaters so it's understandable. The spa was great! They want you to experience it all -so plan that into your time. If you just want a massage tell them that. Otherwise you will be in. The whirlpool and sauna and... And if you don't plan on a 3 hour adventure it apparently can be "not relaxing". Personally I would love it. But a few of my guests saw it as a negative And as I mentioned I was a bit shocked with the high charge to remove gel polish. But ...oh well It rained on our wedding day. We were able to get the ceremony and pictures in. And even a rainbow in the background. Heads up the pier is falling apart and technically no one is allowed on it. I really wanted the pics so we still went on... About 20 min later we got kicked off. Ha Bc we planned for reception at Zavas plaza outdoors and then it stormed we had to move inside. The wedding staff, especially Ingrid, we're so amazing. Running around and moving all of the decor from outside to inside! We lost about an hour of reception time. But the guests just went to the Zocolo bar and drank. Indoor wasn't what I pictured but the AC was heavenly. Ha We had moments that matter photography! These guys were on their game. We had so much fun with them. I can't wait to see the pictures!!!! ....more to come Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just got home from my Azul wedding week. More details to come. But all in all it was fantastic. The staff there really are amazing. One tip, for what it's worth regarding the spa. If you have gel nail polish they charge $35 USD to remove it. And $25 to put gel back on. I thought that was a bit crazy tbh. But it is what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FYI. Just a follow up. Azul S does require passport for Legal or Symbolic ceremony, but only for legal name. I was able to send them a photocopy of the passport with all the important numbers removed and it met their requirement. @@Berg999. I am getting married 6.16 and have the BBQ I can let you know after that how it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My wedding is June 16th and I am in the same boat. I spoke with Lupita yesterday. She is onsite and told me the meeting we have a meeting with the onsite coordinator once we get there and someone will be assigned to us the day of the wedding helping us through the getting ready and ceremony. (Eg when to start walking, etc). She also mentioned if you want a rehearsal walk-thru that it is often an extra charge. So be careful when asking for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone at Azul Sensatori used their "baby products".? I am told they have things (for a fee) like toys and monitors and such at the resort. But I can't seem to get a detail list of what these things are. We leave in 3 weeks so I am trying to determine what all I need to pack Thanks! Also if anyone has been to the resort with babies- is it ok to drink the milk? I am not sure if it is the same or not? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am having 2 cocktail parties throughout the week with my guests. Azul says the locations are TBD. How could I let my guests know where it is? I was planning to do an itinerary in the OOT bag but without the location of these I am not sure. Any suggestions or advice ? Have past brides had this issue? Thanks!!! I can answer what I know/been told: 1. I was told if the ppl using the spa book under your name there is a 15% discount. I am not sure if they allow it, but I am thinking how will they know [emoji12]. If you book under your name and they pay you back? Just a thought 2. Yes, but you have to request it. 3 - they told me either one long table or round tables of 8 + sweetheart table. They will have table for cake 4. I'm sure they can but you might have to pay extra. Thanks! My experience so far is that it took ~2 weeks to hear back after the switch. My wedding is Jun 16. I called, emailed, asked my TA for help. I heard back from Lupita. She was able to pick up where we left off, but now the communication is about 1/week. It seems best to group all the questions and lay it out very binary for them! Also pictures seem to be appreciated Maybe I can ask past brides some of my questions- might be faster [emoji12] 1. Chair covers or no chair covers. Getting married on the beach at 3. Reception starts at 6. It will be hot! Not sure which will be less "sticky" 2. Are the "free" happy hours worth it? They preface everything with "hotel chooses drink and food". So I don't really know what that means 3. Has anyone used babysitting services. I will have my 1 yr old with me and wasn't sure if it is safe Thanks ladies Amy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wedding Ceremony - Readings
amyzig2 replied to MeredithLynne's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I plan to have the same -2 readings. I think I am going to find nice poems or snippets from books to use in place of the standard "love is patient. Love is kind " readings. I have not picked them out yet though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 5 replies

Photographers 1Vs2?
amyzig2 replied to nkavanaugh's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I know it's a lot of money but personally I think the photos are something you don't want to skimp on. If it were me, I would pay the $350 for Dean and peace of mind. -
I am on my 3rd Miami coordinator and been getting the same run around. My favorite is sending the email 5 min before they leave for the day- asking for my availability and then never calling. [emoji35] I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks on spa confirmations. Since the resort is sold out (I heard for now the entire month of June), I wanted to get myself and my girls hair and makeup appt at least booked. I sent them a list-they sent it back with wrong names and not the right number of appts. I called yesterday and I was worried bc I called to complain they were kicking me to the curb. [emoji15]. I guess I feel a little better they are pissing everyone off equally. Lol I'll let you know when /if I hear back from them. Btw. For the spa, I was quoted $290 per person for airbrush makeup!!!! WTF could they possibly do for $290!!! SO ridiculous!!

My wedding at Azul S is in about 2.5 months. I just got notification from Miami team that my wedding is being reassigned to local wedding team in Mexico. I realize there is not much I can do about this, but is this normal procedure? Is there anything special I should be concerned with or watch out for? Thanks Amy
