@ace271011 I've been so MIA lately, so I apologize as I play catch up. Your dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you! I can't wait to see pictures of it on the day. I absolutely love the ring box! It's so adorable! [emoji4] and the shoes too! They will look stunning with you dress. In fact everything you've put together looks awesome. You've put in so much hard work and it really shows! I think the big day will go off without a hitch! I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I know you were really excited to see him after so long. It seems so silly that he couldn't get his documents in order when he's known about it all for so long already. I'm sorry you have to deal with all this so close to your trip. Just relax, breathe deeply and enjoy your week. You will have fun regardless. What matters is you and Doug are together on the day and happy! Can't wait to hear about the trip!! @@calgarybride2015 I saw some frames at the dollarama that are plastic and I could put 2 photos in on either side. Those might not work and might not take up too much space. My fiance is going to kill me when it comes time to pack for the trip haha.

Thank goodness the bride and grooms room count because we wouldn't qualify otherwise! Glad you mentioned that because I hadn't thought of that. Good for you for surpassing the requirement. I'm nervous that im spot on the number. Thats awesome that you got your ring 35% off! Well done. It pays off to shop around and to haggle when you can. We learnt which stores will lower prices on jewelry and which wont. I'm sure your ring is gorgeous!

Ok I've been MIA all week. I haven't been this sick in such a long time. I've had no energy and I swear i'm going to start looking like chicken noodle soup soon haha. Today I felt pretty decent and managed to go out shopping and to Starbucks which means come tomorrow i'm going to try and get back to my healthy eating and exercising. I just found out that I should be able to go pick up my dress in 3 weeks and I have to make sure it still fits so that mean lots of veggies and lots of sweating it up in the gym! Hopefully the gym doesn't destroy me after a week off. Wish me luck! Also, well done to those of you fighting through every day! You are inspiring me to keep pushing! Keep it up ladies!- 315 replies

@@calgarybride2015 Thats a great idea. We were just talking the other day how we wanted to incorporate our engagement photos into our wedding somehow. But now im starting to get concerned about how many things i'm bringing to mexico haha. @@vancouverpetunia haha me too! I'd love to have a mexican food theme at the actual wedding. But I don't think thats an option. And I wasn't planning on adding a flower but thanks to @@Wafflesmom and your suggestion I went out and bought some fake white roses and tiny little flowers to add to each table in those vases! Great idea. I felt it needed something more and taller and I think that fits the bill. @@deecol I just realized I never answered your questions, We are doing the AHR a week after getting back from Mexico. My parents don't live any where near (totally different continent haha) so we have a limited timeframe to have them be involved with everything. But I'm happy we aren't spacing them out too far. Plus then I might still have a tan for the AHR!

Working on table arrangements while feeling very blah today. Thought I would snap a picture so that I can show the wedding coordinator. I think this is all I will bring for table arrangements to Mexico. Thoughts? And I think this is how the guest book message in a bottle will be set up. Thoughts? The chalkboard sign will actually say a message about signing the guest book for us to read on our first anniversary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It sounds like I've made the right choice in doing the taco and tortilla chip bar. I think our guests will love it just as much as you ladies do! Hopefully it wont be too much work to put together. I don't want anyone to feel stressed out on the day. @@deecol its definitely cute that he wants to do our own vows but it makes me so nervous haha. I'm not a good speaker and even worse when it comes to saying my feelings haha. @@calgarybride2015 Thanks! I appreciate your input. The wedding we went to played a game to see who would go up to eat first, but I suppose when there are only a few tables it doesn't matter. They had like 12 tables. As for music, we are going with the DJ because we don't really have any other options. But I'm happy with that choice. I think if there's as few songs we really want played we will make a list and go with it but otherwise i'll just leave it up to the dj and i'm sure giving a few song preferences will help guide the dj into what kind of music we like. @ I know. I'm fearing I will wait till the last minute to write the vows. I wrote my made of honor speech at my sisters wedding the night before haha. Hopefully I will do a better job this time. @@Wafflesmom hahaha I don't mean to laugh at your FI but I read that comment out to my fiance and told him that will be me. I will faint or puke saying our vows. It makes me so nervous haha. I'm sure it will go good though. I will definitely be reading lots of examples online to come up with something awesome. My FI is really good at saying his feelings. Usually when I ask him why he loves me or what he loves most about me his answer always surpasses my answer by like 10 times. So I need to up my game haha.

Its been a while since I've been on here. I've been so busy with life that I haven't done much wedding related. This weekend we attended the wedding of some friends out in the mountains. It was a beautiful ceremony and really fun reception. It really brought to life all the things that we haven't thought about doing,. such as how to organize who goes up to eat first, music, speeches, etc. Unfortunately for me my fiance loved the idea of custom vows after hearing this couple do it. Now I will have to write my own. Something I dread. I will either laugh so hard that its embarrassing (I struggle in serious moments), or I will cry so hard that I will ruin my makeup. So I will have to find the sweet spot I suppose. Now I will have to work on that. Not to mention the fact that all of our friends are very excited for our wedding now. As mentioned previously we are having an at home reception for those people who couldn't make it to mexico (which is quite a few people, like 70 people). I originally only wanted a small cocktail party with just appetizers, beer, and wine. No dance, no nothing special. Unfortunately, everyone is expecting a party now. Even family have been asking if we are having a party with dancing. Today I changed our hall rental from a 70 person capacity to a 200 person capacity because we were cutting it close. This doubled the cost of the rental. Now we are exploring food options and music options. I have actually started getting excited about it all because my fiance is helping me out with some ideas and now that his mum is retired she is offering to help plan it for us. For food I have come up with such a fun, cheap way of feeding all of our guests... A taco bar and a tortilla chip bar! I'm so excited. These are some of the ideas we have: I also want to do cupcakes and cookies for desert. Lots of ideas but I want to keep this entire party under $3000 Cdn. I have readjusted my to do list and it really got significantly longer after attending this wedding. But I think thats probably a good thing. I think most of the work is coming into the At home reception and not as much into the DW. So I'm feeling really good about how the planning is going!

Well I feel bad. I haven't worked out or really eaten well since Thursday. We went to a wedding on Friday which was awesome but I ate and drank too much, Saturday I was hung over but ran a 5km race (The Neon run). And now I'm sick I hate this. I feel like a lazy lump just laying on the couch all day. And now that we are 5 months out from getting married I am really feeling the pressure. I'm really hoping I feel better tomorrow and that I can get back on track. You ladies are all doing so amazing and you are keeping me motivated. Keep up the good work.- 315 replies

@@maria1488 thanks! I got the smaller ones. The big ones are actually really big in my opinion. They would be really hard to travel with. I really like the Size of the ones I got actually and think they will be really cute on the tables and down the aisle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah! Good thinking @ and @@Wafflesmom! I will try something today! Also @ I got the tiny hanging chalkboards at michales a few months ago, they were on sale then (like $1.50). Not sure if they still have them. But I'd also check a dollarama because they have lots of chalkboards too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks @@acw271011 & @@Wafflesmom I think the one with our names needs a little more decorative detailing on it though. The countdown board will actually turn into our guestbook board to tell people what to do. I have one more small chalkboard that I'm Not quite sure what to write on it yet. Any ideas?? Oh wow! Everything is looking amazing! Your rings are absolutely stunning! I'm sure when it's all put together it is gorgeous! Those vow books Are so cute! I kind of wish we were doing this now after seeing everyone doing it. I'm afraid I will either laugh or cry too much to write our own vows. Haha. @@calgarybride2015 if you put a space after the hashtag it can't be found. Also you can't google a hashtag, you search them on social media platfoms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). But if you put a hashtag on a Facebook post, that post would show up with the other photos or post that used that hashtag. So if a guest to my wedding said: had a great time at the wedding #HappilyEverBrade then it would also show up when I search my hashtag on Facebook or Twitter or wherever they used it.
