@@deecol I'm sorry to hear about your nonno I'm sure it can't be easy to manage anything at this time so well done with getting back at it and staying accountable! And thanks for the military diet review. I've seen it pop up every now and then and it just seems too intense. I love eating all the time so in not sure I could last as long as you did. @@vancouverpetunia nope those grapes are literally just protein powder and egg white. I literally make them everyday now. I love them so much! Well done on all the workouts. I assure you you are putting on muscle. Your weight can fluctuate significantly day to day aswell so you could have be retaining a lot of water weight too. When your muscles are sore your body stores more water to help your muscles recover which causes a temporary weight gain. You are doing great! @@calgarybride2015 I'm so sorry to hear about your uncles passing. I hope the pain of your loss has subsided for you. I hope you get your 10lbs weight loss this week! That will be an awesome milestone! And to be eating clean 95-99% of the time is absolutely amazing! I wish I had your will power! @waffleamom I couldn't help but laugh at your tmi post! Haha but good for you for being proactive and getting checked out regularly! I'm glad to hear you've been meal prepping! It's so helpful I find. Especially those days you don't have time to go buy lunch at work , you just have it their with you! Well done on all the workouts too! Let us know what you think of the barre class! Ok time for my update. I'm sorry I've been so MIA for like EVER! I feel like between this new job and working out I've had no time for wedding stuff or even just jumping on here to stay accountable. So last Friday I weighed in like normal and was so upset to find I'd gained 1.1lbs but then I stepped on the scale on Saturday and then I lost 2.2lbs (from my previous days' gain). It just goes to show you how much your weight can fluctuate day to day. But my Saving grace from not quitting all together was Thursday night I took an update picture and I'm really noticing a difference in my muscles so that makes me happy. I think I've lost 6.5lbs?! Total since August. This week hasn't been great with my nutrition though. I spent the day at my grandmas yesterday and I don't think she knows how to cook healthy or how to not shove food down your throat haha. I love her to bits but my scale won't tomorrow when I weigh in. I've been pretty good with my workouts. I've re-discovered my love for weight lifting and it's awesome. But I've replaced my cardio with al weight lifting. I used to love cardio now I hate it haha. I think next week I might have to do a full cardio week just to get my head back in the game! Aww @@acw271011 your renewal looked beautiful and so did you. Absolutely stunning! I'm sure Doug was dumbfounded! The flowers were beautiful. I can see why you would want to keep them. I got back from a week in Mexico and the first day back I lost my job. (I've been let go 3 times in 3 years). You will land back on your feet in no time. So I weighed in today (a day late) and I'm down 0.8 since I did my 3 day quick fix. It might not sound like a lot but I'm super happy with that considering the week I had. Today I did really well with diet and exercise (leg day). Even though we had cupcake tasting I was very good with it. We had 4 cupcakes that we divide 3 ways and I only ate a portion of each piece I got. (I case your curious we are getting coconut cupcakes with coconut icing/ and vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese icing!) feeling good! Even bought some new jeans!! @@Wafflesmom well done with all those workouts! That's fantastic! You are crushing it! You'll really see the difference when you curb snacking and you wallet will thank you for packing lunches haha. My update. Mentally I feel like I faked this week. I worked out Monday and Tuesday. The rest of my week I've been so exhausted and it's affected my fitness and nutrition. I caved and ate chips on Monday, Wednesday I had a big bowl of pasta and didn't workout, last night I ate pho and didn't workout. I seem to fail as soon as I get home from work. I eat super clean and healthy all day, then I'm weak when I get home. I've been sticking to 21 day fix with my new cook book (it's called Fixate) but I don't stick to it with dinners which I'm sure will kill my results. I also have cupcake tasting tomorrow morning or my ARH and that won't work well with my diet. I'm so sorry to hear that your mum couldn't come to your bridal shower because she was sick I know how you feel though. I really want my mum to be apart of all the wedding festivities but she lives overseas and won't be able to come to my bridal shower, I fact I won't see her now until 2 days before my legal ceremony! @@calgarybride2015 7lbs is a huge success! You have to count every little ounce a success I find. I'm noticing it harder to lose/manage my weight every year I get older but 7 lbs is awesome! I'm sorry your schedule is going to get cray cray! You can do it! You have the motivation and drive! @@Wafflesmom you are doing so good! Look at that motivation! Killer! Keep it up. You are doing lot of exercise which is great. Remember you can't out exercise a bad diet. Good luck with grocery shopping. I hate grocery shopping hahaha. @parianjay well done on working out on Sunday, taking yesterday off is no big deal. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body! If your body needs a break then take a break! As for my check in: I worked out last week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and then again yesterday. Took one extra break day on Sunday because I was lazy haha. I don't feel too bad about it though. My diet has been very up and down. My fiancé has been amazing at holding me accountable. Except for last night when we were both weak and wanted a snack [emoji87]. My future mother in law got me a cook book that is specific to the 21 day fix plan and it is amazing! So much variety. All week I'm having healthy Mac and cheese with chicken and broccoli! I've also discovered these amazing protein crepes that are only 190 calories (that includes a banana and a Greek yogurt filling). Very exciting update!!!!! I got my dress!!!! It is so amazingly beautiful! The alterations are great. So what I had done: Shortened (alot) Train taken in so that it wasn't super long, its a mini train now Whole dress taken in. It was a sample dress that is much larger than I am Back panel where criss cross lace up is was half taken out to show more back. Cleaned I wish I had addressed the issue of the chest area. Do any of you have this issue and know if it can be fixed? I'm not a very chesty person and because the dress was originally much larger than I am the cup size is according to the dress size. I feel like there is so much empty space in there and looks weird. My MIL to be said she couldn't tell though. Either way I love the dress, the veil matched perfectly and my shoes look amazing!

Update: I forgot to mention yesterday that my bridesmaid that I've been waiting for to book her trip finally booked last week! I was so stressed because she told me there was no availability and then when she called my TA there was room so she is booked in finally and I can rest easy! Got the call where I can pick up my dress so I'm so happy now! I can't wait to see it tomorrow! Hopefully it fits!!! @@TaraMarie33 yikes! I hope things start calming down for you so you can relax and enjoy the process more. That's what I'm hoping for after this dress fitting! I'd saying having too many guests is better than not enough! That just means so many people love you guys so much and can't wait to celebrate with you! As for the videographer, I didn't even consider it till my parents asked if we were getting it done. When we said no because of the budget they told me we had no choice but to book it and that they were laying, no questions! Haha. I think I'm going to really appreciate having the video to be honest. It will be nice to look back on and give copies to family and friends! My video was only $450usd. That's 2 hours of coverage. I didn't even think about table overlays or napkins or anything. I'm not in communication with the coordinator yet. But I bought my own chair sashes (way cheaper) and I bought real table runners. We also took wedding favors out of our budget. We are giving the wedding party OOT bags, all the guest a little welcome package with brochure, door hanger, custom postcards. And all the guests will get bubbles from the ceremony and an escort card message in a bottle. I think that was more than enough and it didn't cost too much. @@calgarybride2015 I am in Oil & Gas so that's why. But surprisingly I got hired back into oil and gas so I'm happy. It's a 1 year mat leave contract so I kind of hope the person doesn't want to come back haha I just got an address where to get the dress so I'll keep you all posted! @@Wafflesmom thanks! I've been laid off 3 times in 3.5 years. I have the worst luck! This was the quickest turn around I've had which is shocking considering the marker in Calgary right now! Now I can hopefully relax a bit and plan this wedding! We are so thankful for our parents. They are so amazing with everything. Yeah I'm glad I went with Lancelotti he seems more experienced than the other person. He also seems so nice so far! I've been pinning ideas on Pinterest to send to him! And my shoes just arrived so I'm good to go for Saturday! Hopefully they aren't too tall! @ yup have to stay positive when things get rough. It's never easy but I just have to be thankful my fiancé is so supportive and wanted nothing more than to take care of me while I was looking for a new Job! He's the bests [emoji4] That's good to know about Juan being flexible. I hope we can get all the events covered that I want. I'm sure it's going to be perfect! I'm getting more and more excited! That's awesome that you will only have to pay one vendor fee! That was what I was worried about too so I did it all through Lancelotti. @@deecol thanks. It was definitely a panic moment thinking how Am I going to pay for a wedding without a job. Thankfully I was only out of work for 3 weeks! A mini vacation haha. @@Wafflesmom thanks! It's motivating when I get feedback from my Instagram. I like knowing if I'm reaching out to even one person. It actually motivates me to just try and post once a day, I feel guilty like I cheated if I didn't post haha. The 21 day fix is a nutrition and fitness program. I only follow the nutrition side of it. It basically teaches you portion control. So I eat 4 portions of protein, 3 of veggies, 2 carbs, etc. I'll post some pics of the basic concepts (sorry for the quality, I found them online): Oh and the colors correspond to food groups: Red: protein Green: vegetables Yellow: carbs Purple: fruit Orange: seeds & dressings Blue: healthy fats 2tsp of oils & nut butters And I decided to start my week with what is called the 3 day quick fix. It's a really strict version of the plan for 3 days where you basically don't get fruit or fats. It's supposed to be like "be competition ready in 72hours". I didn't do quite that good haha. I think I might do the 3 day quick fix once a month up until the wedding to speed things up. Here is a pic of the plan: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 315 replies

Long overdue update post: Sorry everyone, I've been so MIA lately. I recently lost my job, went on a job hunt, and started a new job so my life has been pretty hectic lately. I've done next to no big wedding planning. We have finally caved and let both of our parents pay for our AHR. We really didn't want any help paying for any part of the wedding but we realized it was important to our parents so we decided they could help with this. My future mother in law has been amazing with planning everything. I sat down with her told her all my plans and numbers and what not. Really we didn't want anything big because it's not our actual wedding day but like mentioned before, after attending a friend's wedding a lot of our friends and family are expecting a full on wedding reception. We were originally just doing a small cocktail party. Our numbers grew out of control so we had to change our hall reservation to a larger room :S Because the cost of having a lot more guests than expected has gone up I am actually really thankful for the help in planning and paying for this portion of our wedding. Photographer: We finally settled. We were going to go with the lesser known photographer Elena Fedorova. But when she sent us her contract it was so intimidating. We wouldn't own any of our photos or have the rights to print them. She was a big no for us. We settled on Lancelotti and I'm so happy we did! My biggest concern was being able to get all the events covered in only 4 hours but we agreed this was best and my parents told us they wanted to pay for 2 hours of videography! This is fantastic because we didn't even consider video footage. I will start working with Juan soon to get ideas and work on the timelines! Wedding shoes!!! I finally found a pair of wedding shoes! I found them at Aldo this weekend on sale! They didn't have my size so I had to order online and because I'm trying on my dress on Saturday I wanted to have the shoes with me. I express shipped them and then when they arrived yesterday I got a pink pair of ballet flats haha. Not my wedding shoes! I'm hoping the replacement pair will arrive tomorrow just in time for my dress fitting. Dress fitting: OMG!!! You have no idea how stressful this process has been. So if you can remember back to my dress purchase. I got an amazing deal in my dress (~$1000 for a $2200 dress). The reason I got the deal was because the store was closing down. And the seamstress who worked there said she could do my alterations by the end of the summer for $300 and then get the lace up cleaned for $80. Great! Right?! You would think. I called the week before the store closed to (aug 31) to see if I could pick it up before then. She said no that she would bring it to her home to do and have it ready in a month. So I was calling at the end of September and early October. She doesn't like to answer her phone. She responds to missed calls via text. It's really weird. And she's got horrible English that makes it super hard to figure out what she is texting to me. Basically, yesterday I had a stressful morning fighting with her to make sure my dress would be ready Saturday because I have to drive 4 hours to go and get it with my future mother in law. She won't tell me where I can pick it up or anything. I'm so stressed. And it doesn't help that my fiancé said to me that she probably sold it on eBay. Haha. He since realized that was the wrong thing to say and has been helping me figure out what's going on now. So basically wish me luck on Saturday and let's home I actually have a dress and that its in one piece. I also hope the shoes work with the dress. The seamstress said I could have about 2 inch heals and my new shoes are supposedly 3.5 inches! I will let you girls know how it goes on Saturday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@@Wafflesmom, sorry I have a bunch of catching up to so. Derick's suit is awesome. I might have to show it to my FI because he would love it! We are looking at getting his attire and grooms men's attire at le Chateaux now! As for the napkins, you've probably already decided but I like the second best! Love the color too! I'm sorry to hear about your colleague/friend. That would hurt me too. Especially when you have grown so close together, you want to share the biggest moments in your lives with your best friends. I'm sorry you might miss out on complimentary events. That's the cherry on the cake in my opinion. I'd be quite mad too if that happens to me. I'm glad Der told you to go for a walk with him and waffles! Great idea. I love that he's so supportive to you! (And I love dogs haha). Oh wow! @snswessing2016 I'm so sorry, I've men super MIA lately. But everything is looking so amazing. You BDR looks like it was amazing and super helpful in the last parts of your planning process. I think your table centerpiece look great on those tables. Simple yet cute! Congrats on the one year engagement anniversary! Kyle and I just celebrated ours too at the beginning of October. It worked out that we had already planned to go for dinner with Kyle's family so it was a nice celebration! I love the bouquet! It's gorgeous but I can see what you mean about the purple tinge to them instead of blue. Have you talked to the seller? It's probably not going to be noticeable and it might add some nice variation to the colors at the wedding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
