  1. @@vancouverpetunia yes!!! I officially lost 10.3lbs!!! So happy. I'm sure I will destroy that progress over the next week but oh well haha. We are leaving tomorrow morning!! Good luck! You can handle this, but remember to enjoy yourself too. You only get to do all this once so make the most of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks @! I am in love with false lashes these days! They change up any look so quickly. And I will definitely use the Laura Mercier powder! So nice and it works like a charm! So glad to hear the airport won't be as intimidating as I once thought haha. @@snswedding2016 I can't believe it either! It crept up so fast! @@deecol that's so good to hear! I'm glad it was a good time for you' [emoji4] agreed, false lashes are a must for a wedding I think! Really pumps up the glam for any look! The waterproof cases I bought on eBay. I would recommend searching waterproof phone pouch. You can buy them in sets of 10. Some of the postings are for large phones like the iPhone 6plus and some smaller. @@vancouverpetunia yeah the pile wasn't as bad as I once thought it would be @@Wafflesmom I know right!! It's here! It's finally here!! Agreed. @@calgarybride2015 review on every thing was so helpful and I trust her opinion. @@ashhtayy I know it's so funny how we have to justify things with our men haha. @@krystalball thanks, I'm glad to hear someone else is doing the resort makeup, helps make my decision a little easier! UPDATE!!!! Today was one of the most hectic crazy and emotional days so far! Got up to get my eyebrows threaded, then had a quick Starbucks with my mum before our nail appointment. Then got a mani pedi and I'm so happy with how it turned out! Got home and then my amazing fiancé made me a quick lunch while I did my legal wedding makeup. I had about 20 min to get things together. Then I was out for my wax, then to buy last minute sandals and some darker concealer haha. Got home and had 20 min to get ready to head out again! My hair wouldn't curl so that sucked. But we headed out to my Inlaws for our legal ceremony! The ceremony was so beautiful! It was so much more than I expected. The officiant did such a beautiful job. And of course I was a hot mess of tears. Which means I will be even worse on Tuesday haha. Now we are in a mad rush packing and getting our house in order for kyle's cousin to house sit and watch 4 dogs in our house. We are headed to the airport at 5am tomorrow! Looks like I will probably just seep the whole way! Also got a couple last minute decor things done too: Off we go!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Update: last week was a train wreck for me. I was sick all week and couldn't work out. I hate way too many carbs and then was terrified of stepping on the scale. I'm happy to say I only gained 0.2lbs! Clearly I've revved up my metabolism so one week off wasn't too bad. I'm back at it feeling strong and healthier now. My goal is to try and lose 1lb this week as its my final week before the wedding! It will be tough since I have so ma y appointments and my parents will be around but I'm determined!! Have to look beach ready!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. @@vancouverpetunia you reminded me mid way while reading your updates that I had to email my officiant haha. So exciting that you are in the planning phase for that! I'd suggest wearing something cute but not too fancy. I'll be wearing a white lace dress (same one I wore to my bridal shower). Kyle is wearing dress pants, dress shirt and tie. I love the welcome letter and programs! They look perfect and it's so fun! The art work is great! As for the table numbers. I bought small frames from the dollarstore that are really light and hardly noticeable but enough weight that they shouldn't blow away. I love the lemon idea! I've seen that before and it's so cute! Your timeline looks great. But one question. When you are getting photos at 4:30-5:30 what are your guests doing! Our cocktails are going to be during our photos so that the guests aren't bored. 5. @@ashhtayy your rings are so amazing! They look so good together too! Glad to hear the marriage license process is easy. We are doing that tonight! I was just going to say check out la vie en rose. I bought 2 bikinis there a weeks ago and they are a great sale! 2 bikinis for $34. I love the champagne glitter table runners! So classy and Fun! Those flowers will look amazing in the gold mason jars! And the table numbers are super cute too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Mini freak out update haha: Sorry I've been so MIA lately. All this planning, being sick, work, etc has gotten crazy! We leave on Saturday but have so much to do before then. This weekend we took out all of the wedding stuff that we are bringing with us to re-box and organize and figure out how much we have. I knew how much we have but Kyle didn't. Let's just say it was a shock to him. Sorry to throw some of you under the bus but I told him it's not as much as some of the other brides bring Hahahaha. Tried to get away with it. He didn't mind in the end. I actually numbered each box and made an excel spreadsheet that says what is in each box and how much each box weighs. This way we will know who has what in each box in their suitcases. Especially incase they get stopped at customs. We will be giving family members a box each to carry I think. This is most of what we have to bring: I finished making our welcome packages for each guest. Contents: - welcome brochure - map of resort - waterproof phone case for each guest - 2 custom postcards - door hanger I'm back to not knowing if I should do my make up or get it done. My mum threw a wrench in the loop yesterday saying she might get her makeup done. And I know if she gets hers done I want to get mine done. And my mother in law now says the same thing. My only concern is the longevity of their makeup vs mine. Do you girls think they would use some of my products if I asked? Like primers? And lashes? I bought some new lashes this weekend to try. I have a decision between lots of different ones These are the ones I think I will go with (ignore my horrible eyebrows, I'm getting them done on Friday and it's killing me to wait haha) Also did our chalkboards. I still have one more to do and that will be the guestbook sign. But I'll do that probably Thursday because right now it's our countdown sign haha. I might have to buy one more so we can have a custom drink sign. Tonight we are going to get our marriage license. Nothing like last minute haha. Then it will be cleaning the house like crazy! My parents arrive tomorrow!! Wednesday: My parents arrive in the evening so I will be making dinner for them. Then once the my go off to my sisters house for the night I will start packing. This is also my final day of work before the break! Thursday: Getting my legs and arms sugared (like wax but natural) Then getting my hair done! My mum is spending the evening with me while my dad and sister go to a Brad Paisley concert (I got them tickets cheap through work so they are happy). Friday: Getting my eyebrows done with my mum (finally!) Then it's manicure/pedicure time with my mum. Wax Then I need to get my rings inspected and cleaned and then..... LEGAL CEREMONY!!! My mother in law is picking up tacos from the catering company we hired for our reception. And we can enjoy those after the ceremony! Saturday: Fly to Mexico!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. @@calgarybride2015 thanks! It was lots of fun. So nice to see people. @@krystalball it was lots of fun! And the presents were a bonus. But I really wish people didn't spend money on us. I got my dress from winners back in July. But I have seen some new white lace ones there recently. Watches are such a great gift for the guys. So classy and they can use them over and over and think of our wedding every time they wear them! @@ashhtayy thanks! I'm so happy with both pairs of shoes. It's also a bonus that if my reception shoes end up being uncomfortable I can switch back into the ceremony shoes! @@vancouverpetunia I know! It's creeping up faster than expected hah. and thanks Hun! I love that dress. I'm going to wear it for my legal ceremony. Yup the ceremony shoes from le chateau were $60. The sick sleeves I made on the computer, printed onto card stock and then hit glued them together. @@deecol it was so nice! How was yours? It's so fun to get everyone together one last time before the big day! And yes! I'm loosing my mind over here. This time next week will be my big day!! Ahhh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. @ that makes so much sense and I also want to look myself but I've been practicing my makeup and getting more and more into it over the past year that I think people will expect me to look a little more glam haha thanks for the advice on the dress length. That's helpful! @@ashhtayy thanks! I'm so happy with the vow books! I'm excited to use them! I got them on etsy from a seller called HappyJewelrySupplies! They come in different sizes but this was the smallest size! I was looking online for barefoot sandals that would arrive before we leave but the wedding is a little too close to get them on time. I went shopping on Saturday and bit the bullet and spent $60 on a new pair. I can at least wear these as regular sandals for dinner and what not after the wedding so I think these will work for the ceremony and then I'll change into my fancy ones for the reception! Ceremony shoes: Reception shoes: I also worked on making my welcome packages for everyone. Every package contains a waterproof pouch per person for your phone, 2 custom postcards, a door hanger, and eventually the brochure when I get them reprinted. I'll post a pick when I get the brochure made. We also bought the groomsmen's gifts! We got a good deal on watches at the watch station (or something like that). They had a deal but 1 get 40% off, buy 2 or more and get 50% off. So we bought 2 watches that were identical and one other for the best man. It was an insane deal! We think they will love them! I also made a little slip cover for socks for my dad. It says "special socks for a special walk love your little girl". And has 2 pairs is dress socks. I decided to make one as a surprise for Kyle too! It says "for my handsome groom in case you get cold feet" please note I just noticed handsome was spelt wrong [emoji44] I'll have to figure out how to fix that. My bridal shower was yesterday too! Despite feeling sick with a cold it was such a nice event. My sister did an amazing job as per usual. We had about 12 people over and was nice for everyone to get to meet each other, socialize, and enjoy some pink champagne and snacks! I also got lots of wonderful presents even though we said no gifts! ^my sister, grandma, and I. We are now only 15 days away from saying "I Do", 12 days away from leaving, and 11 days away from our legal ceremony! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. @@vancouverpetunia.... I did much better with my eating and exercising today but...I'm now sick Update: I did pretty good this week. Added in a few extra cardio workouts to help cut some fat. I did have a potluck at work for a colleagues wedding, I didn't eat great but I watched the amount I ate. Of course with my soy intolerance I felt like garbage the next day but still kept on tract and did a double workout! I felt pretty off last night after work with a sore throat so I skipped my workout and went to bed early. This morning: full blown cold the day before my bridal shower. Looks like I'll be popping cold meds like candy. I did step on the scale though! I'm down another 1.2lbs! Since August I've lost 9.7!! I've pretty much hit my goal of 10lbs but I still want another 3-4lbs! Probably won't happen in 2 weeks but I'll do what I can! How did you ladies do?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. @ I noticed your makeup! I thought you might have done it yourself since your trekked were so noticeable and cute! I love freckles! I wish I had more haha. @@vancouverpetunia I think I'm probably going to do it myself but I'm pretty much going to wait till the last minute to decide. I think shellac is still good! You just have to be sure to wash your hand right after applying sunscreen and bug spray or it can wreck them. I had them last year in Mexico and it was completely fine! @@calgarybride2015 that makes sense then. Your makeup was so pretty and really suited you so it was a good choice to go natural! Thanks for the tips on who to go with! That's helpful if I decide to let them do it. I definitely won't do the stick on ones. I did the stick on for my sisters wedding and they all popped off the next day haha. Update: Our vow books arrived!!!! I'm so happy. I was paranoid that they were going to arrive and be super tiny. But they are the perfect size and so cute! This makes it so real though. I think I need to sit down and just write these darn vows this weekend. I'm horrible and mushy sentimental things but that's exactly what I want mine to be like hahah. Any tips on writing my own vows? Also I'm panicking a bit about the aisle and shoes. They either have these 15 wooden planks to walk down the aisle to or a while cloth runner (or nothing). I have stilettos to wear because I couldn't find wedges I liked. And everytime I go shoe shopping I look but never see anything if want to wear for the ceremony. Help! What do I do? I'm so confused! I thought maybe barefoot but then my dress would be too long. This is the wooden plank aisle, but I think I'd still trip in the cracks haha: Our legal ceremony is in 14 days, we leave for Mexico in 15 days, and our wedding day is in 18 days!!! I'm so full of emotions now! So excited, nervous, anxious, everything?!?! [emoji37] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. @@vancouverpetunia thanks for the suggestions. I'm still so undecided. I'm not worried about the cost since I will only get married once. I've been testing out the longevity of my makeup too and that isn't an issue. I worked out for an hour yesterday (30 min weight lifting and 30 min intense cardio) and my makeup still looked great after that. And I did my makeup at 5:45am, finished my workout at 9:30PM. As for nails, those ones you pictures are so pretty. I'm a silver girl so I will defiantly want a silver sparkle. And yes I won't be doing stick on. They are useless. I will be doing gel nails. I love shellac but I find it peels a bit with sunscreen. So I'm going with gel this time. @@ashhtayy I agree. Getting my makeup would be relaxing and I loved having it done at my bachelorette party. But I'm also a control freak and would probably panic if the makeup artist missed a step that I would normally so to ensure my makeup lasts haha. I'm not worried about the money it's more the control freak in me wondering if they will do a good job. @@calgarybride2015 looked amazing with her makeup from the resort but I want something a little more dramatic than hers so I don't have a good reference of their skills. And yes I'm really hoping Kyle likes the photos and doesn't just think it's weird. I was so nervous about doing them. @ thanks for the info on Lancelotti. That's good to know. I feel like I'd be happy if I did it myself but also be worried it would just look like my usual makeup and nothing different. I know Kyle likes a more natural look but he also knows I want a more glam look for the day. I'm so torn. I have to decide soon too [emoji37]. I actually re-creeped all your photos to check out your makeup before you said all this and to check for flash photography and what not. You looked so amazing and you are definitely right that I don't need to worry about flash photography. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. @@vancouverpetunia that is a really cute dress and would work perfectly! I think it's up to you and what look you are going for that day. I'm going to wear a short white lace dress that I got for my bridal shower and Kyle will wear dress pants and a dress shirt. We don't want to make it into a big deal because it won't be the real wedding to us, it's purely a legality for us. I love that bracelet is really pretty and such a good deal! My bracelet turns round too but I have really small wrists so it's inevitable. I really like the first headband by my motto is more bling is better! Haha those earrings are also amaze balls! I love them! The hair is really pretty too! It's sophisticated and not too fancy making you look too different. I'm sure your fi will love it! You could get rhinestone Bobby pins to do this look and that would be really pretty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've heard great things about the Laura mercier translucent powder. I opted for the cheaper kind I can find it like at Walmart, superstore or anywhere that sells elf products. It's the elf hd translucent powder. I do my makeup at 5:45am and then workout after work around 6-7 and my makeup is still in place post sweat fest! I also use urban decay makeup setting spray. So together they do wonders! @@ashhtayy I love the rings. So funny about your FI wanting to wear his everywhere right away. Kyle is funny about his thinking it will be strange to wear. I've heard pitting baby powder between your legs helps with the under the dress sweating. I may just try that. I'm so paranoid about being gross when we get back to the room for alone time haha. Bouquet: my vote is 1 or 4, I think those two look really sweet and romantic, yet they all do so you will do great with any of them. I love mikes response! Typical man. Your cake topper looks beautiful! So sparkly and pretty! You have to have a cake now! Or maybe do cupcakes with it in two cupcakes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So I did okay this week, not great, just okay. I'm happy that I am finally back below the 120's but still have about 4 more lbs to lose to get back to where I used to be consistently. My working out and diet slacked this week too. I was just so exhausted for some reason. I think I was maybe eating too little. I'm intending on being so much better tomorrow. Fingers crossed! 17. @@vancouverpetunia thanks so much! I know right, time is flying now! @@calgarybride2015 the no hangover part may have been my favorite part. Last night was kyles bachelor party and he is a trainwreck today with his hangover. So glad I didn't have that. We are still flip flopping on honeymoon ideas. I'm such a princess and really want a 10 day trip but Kyle is pushing the 7 day idea I know @ it's so crazy! Everyone's weddings seem to have come and gone already and it's Almost my turn, it's so hard to believe. So not much to update on. Kyle had his bachelor party last night and it sounds like he had lots of fun but he is also paying for it today haha. My bridal shower is next Sunday and I'm really looking forward to it. It is mostly kyles aunts since I'm closer with them than my own. But it will be a really fun time I think just to have all the ladies together. Then apparently it's the super bowl 50 or something after that so my party is at kyles parents house then he will come over and we'll spend the day there. I'm not a football fan but I can just drink wine with kyles mom and do some last minute planning haha. I've been flip flopping on this idea of getting my makeup done vs doing it myself. If I do it myself I save a fair amount of money but I'm worried it won't be what I wanted. I've been learning and practicing so much for the past few months but I've also read lots about bridal makeup and flashback from flash photography. While Kyle was at his bachelor party last night I did a trial run and then tested it out with flash vs no flash. My face turns white because of the makeup I used. I don't really want to spend any more money on makeup as I've done that a lot lately haha. What was your experience? I know that we won't use flash much because of sunlight but I'm so torn. Here is what it looks like and some pics of what I want my makeup to look like: And now I'm torn on nails after seeing@@Wafflesmom get her nails done I'm second guessing what I wanted to do. This was what I originally wanted But then I tried these fake stick on nails this weekend: So I'm thinking of maybe a combination of the two? Like this? . Thoughts?? Kyle started to build our cupcake stand for the AHR so I'll take a pic when it's done. I also got my fake marriage certificate made to bring with us to Mexico to "fool" people into thinking it is a legal wedding. I also got my lingerie now too! My colleagues gave me $100 to Victoria secret so I bought surprising fly a fair Amount of fun things for the wedding week! I also did a boudoir photo shoot this weekend using a lot of the new items as a surprise wedding gift for Kyle! I'm so excited to see how they turned out. I was super nervous though, it's way out of my comfort zone but the photographer was really great and made it feel like I was just hanging out with a girlfriend. Slowly getting there with less than 3 weeks to go!!! Ahhhh!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. @@vivitazy we had to do a lot of research on photographers too because of price but it's one of the most important parts of the wedding. The only thing you get to keep forever (besides your husband of course haha). We went with Lancelotti. He is charging $1000USD for 4 hours. I don't think that's too bad plus we have to pay the vendor fee to the resort. Was the best we found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Ahh thanks @@acw271011 I really didn't want to spend much on dresses. All together these two dresses totaled at $40! I'm a bargain hunter haha. I ended up wearing a brand new gold dress from winners to my bachelorette. I will post pics. It only cost $21 as it was on a crazy discount! Thanks for the spelling catch ladies @@vancouverpetunia. I will fix that ASAP before they all get printed!! Update: So we've got a couple things done but not much really. We have all of our rental items booked for our AHR and we also did an IKEA shopping trip to get a few items for the event. So at least that is done and done! Kyle is looking into our sound equipment needs for the atr as well! We are also looking into honeymoon options. Everything is crazy at the moment with the exchange rate. We were going to book Hawaii but the prices got insane with the exchange rate so we cancelled that option. We really want to do Costa Rica but it's also quite expensive. We are back looking at some high end resorts in Mexico now. I didn't want to do Mexico two times this year but it might be all we can afford. Plus I'm being a princess and wants 10 day holiday haha. The Dress! I picked up my dress Thursday after work. It fits perfectly. It's a little strange in the chest because I actually have a super small chest so she sewed in cups and now I have a boob job without the price tag or surgery hahaha. But it fits and I'm happy! The lighting in these photos doesn't compliment it at all but you get the point. Bachelorette Party!!! My bachelorette party was last night! It was so much fun! We were about 10 girls at my sisters condo. She hired a makeup artist to come in and teach everyone how to do their makeup! And I had my full makeup done for me! It was amazing!! I loved the pampering. We also played loads of bridal games like how well do you know your groom, how well does everyone know the bride, read the brides mind, help the bride write her vows mad libs (super funny and dirty), and so on! It was a blast! Got to see some friends I Hadn't seen in forever which was so nice! Everyone got prizes and little spa gift bags at the end! It was so cute and my sister did an amazing job! Now I can't wait for my bridal shower in two weeks!! Here are a few photos! You can see them all on Instagram by searching #fromBrideToBrade Everyone doing their makeup: My before and after: My amazing sister and I: Kyle is celebrating his bachelor party next weekend. Congrats on getting your dress! That's so exciting and makes everything soooo real! Exciting about the bachelorette party! I had mine last night and it's so much Fun! I'm sure your girlfriends will make it super special for you! I love the wine and spice theme! Especially the wine! My fiancé and I have the same issue. Everyone keeps hounding us on what we want as gifts and we honestly don't want anything. We have everything we could need. I invited all family from both sides that lived close by as well as my best girlfriends. Hopefully that helps. Those makeup suggestions are gorgeous! I really LOVE the second one. It's very bridal and just gorgeous! I also love that look with the curls! It would looks so nice on the beach! My hair is also dead straight but with enough product the curls will stay. I have 4 weeks left and I still want to drop 5lbs. I somehow don't think it's going to happen though. I had my bachelorette last night and I was actually quite good to not drink too much and limited my snacks but still allowed it to be a cheat night.
