I am getting married at Dreams on May 24th and have started the planning process with our wedding coordinator already. Based on my experiences with the resort so far, I highly doubt they will bend the rules and give you a reservation for 68. That is about the size of my wedding, and they have been "nickel and diming" for everything! If you want a "semi-private event", they still charge $15 per person for setup, and only offer a set menu, I hope they work with you, but I wouldn't count on them throwing in any extras that they normally charge for.

I don't know if you've found an answer to this question, but I just ordered my bridesmaids bouquets on Etsy. The resort was going to charge $85-100 each! Here is the link to the ones I ordered, but there are a lot out there to choose from. My cousin used silk flowers in her destination wedding a few years ago; no one could tell and they looked fine in pictures.

@cruisebride2016 I just ordered the anchor bags the other day before I saw your comment about how thin they are! I read mixed reviews on the website, including some that said they are anchor on both sides and some saying just one side. I'll just have to see when they get here. @@sgleba25 I liked those bags too but I read reviews saying they were almost see-through; is that true?

@@blissfulbride7 I love the pineapple design! For others still looking, I found these at Oriental Trading for only $1 each. There are plenty more on that site for around $1 as well. I am debating whether to do the anchor ones or design custom bags at discountmugs.com. Either way, I wouldn't put your initials/names on the bags if you want people to use them again after the wedding.

Has anyone used a friend/family member as their photographer? I have a cousin who is a professional photographer that I want to use because it would still be cheaper to pay for her flight and room than pay for one of the premium packages. Surely they won't consider her an outside vendor if she's a guest of the resort?
