For any girls who are hazy on the details of their budget just ask Adriana to include the cost of all items you plan to request. That's how I got the quote above. Photography, hair, etc isn't on the list - but I don't think there's much missing from the quote otherwise. I might consider the DJ, but for now it's off the table. I asked her for Free Package, Upgrade to Palapa, BBQ Beach Menu, golf cart for the day. With the current currency conversion rate 40160 pesos is $3103.75 Canadian. I know I wont get off that easy, but I think that's a reasonable start.

Where did to get this? My sister and I are trying to find something similar for her.

Are these chairs for the ceremony or the reception? I'm going with whatever is included, no sashes, no upgrades, nada. To me that's just not worthwhile money spent. I guess it all depends on you and what you think will make your day meet your vision. I just happen to have a very flexible vision. I believe she told me the standard chairs are white. Here's the quote she provided me: I have a lot of children coming and they are 120 each vs 200 pesos for the adult menu. Here's our money jar check sheet. $40/week (each). Just an arbitrary number we made up, not to say this money will cover everything.

I did notice that most resorts price things uncomfortably high, but just high enough that it costs less to use them than to figure out an alternative.

Personally, having no choice - I'm choosing to look at my Day 5 wedding as a chance for my guests to get to know each other before the night of the big party.

I almost could have written this. We are going with the free, and update to palapa. But I'm really not sure how all these expenses are going to add up, even though Adriana has provided me with a few quotes. I want to spend minimal on decoration without looking like I didn't put any effort in to it. I was thinking tiki torches, paper lanterns, some centre pieces, and table number thingies, and call it a day. I'm also considering the ole Bose option but not sure how well it would work. I'm worried about too many people too. Time will tell. I thought about doing the same thing for a photographer, but I want to shave even more money off that total. When is your date?

Each resort has different rules I think they generally say that you have to wait two days after arrival. It can be different for Symbolic vs Legal. I can see why you'd want the 5th of May! I think you'll be ok. My resort only had the 12th & 13th. I had asked for the 11th since we started dating on 11.11.11, but no go. I took the 12th personally because it's more time to unwind before heading home.

So no deposits yet, but I have many verbal confirmations. If they hold true to their word (I'll believe when I see deposits) then our 30 seats on the plane will be taken and who knows how many more. Getting so real! I'm excited.

I should clarify that the 11th is a Wednesday. I'm not planning on extras either. Just straight to the hop, now feed us! ROFL. So I asked Adriana what was included in the sound system and she told me it's no longer available. DJ or bust. I'm thinking of investing in A Bose and bringing my iPod. DJ isn't expensive really though. I have a friend who offered to DJ if he comes which would be amazing. But I'm not so sure he'll come since his ex is too and that is a whole awkward story.

Okay guys my internet sleuthing has brought me down to another site called logobarproducts.com and with all said and done it says $126.85 for an order of 50. They are all black with a white logo. At that price I could probably swing two different designs (that pricing was for all of the same design). Friends, I do not overpay! LOL

From what I can see, $2/ea minimum order of 72... One colour print. More colours are extra. I used to work with a woman who sells promotional products and has the exact same product. $5/ea though, exact same. Not sure what happens when I put in the tax and shipping for either option. I guess I need to know how many guests before I order. I wanted to do two different images, but I might have to stick to one. My mother was urging me not to do a sugar skull, buuuut... Never you mind mom! EDIT www.adsuninc.com - I just requested a quote, let's see what they say. It looks like for 72 it will be $171.36, with an initial setup fee of $56.25, if you convert that to Canadian that's pretty much $300. Shipping - who the heck knows. A case of 72 weight 50lbs. I'm hunting around, I like that design but I think I can do better price wise.
