It's so helpful keeping everything in one spot and having the ladies offer their feedback. There was a female spreading some hate on my thread recently but don't let her bother you. Steph and Sofi both had BEAUTIFUL weddings their recently. The both have threads and reviews too. Most of what I know about AF I learned from them!

AHH! Nathan from Stemple Shop emailed me these shots of our flowers just now. What do you ladies think? Be critical, please! I like them but I feel something is missing. Only photo not shown is the aisle bouquets. Mini version of the bouquets - same colour. Maybe these should be all blush?! I'd need to see a photo before making the decision.

@@yycbride2016 I laughed when you mentioned throwing other brides under the bus lol Telling Mike other brides had more stuff is definitely something I will point out too haha All the photos I've seen of you doing your own makeup look amazing. You've practiced so hard and will nail it if you decide to do it yourself. I wish I had your talent - I'm an eyeliner, mascara and touch of eye shadow girl. Been doing my makeup the same since elementary school. How sad lol I think I remember a post where @@calgarybride2015 was taking about shoe box sized containers but I can't remember where you or Kim got them. Perfect size for your luggages and so easy to keep organized. Oh, and I'm also curious about those waterproof phone cases! Good luck with your busy week! You'll be on a plane in no time!

@@yycbride2016 – Thank you!! Yes, marriage license was super easy! My gf scared me because she said she had to go back multiple times because they didn’t accept her husband’s birth certificate. To make sure we had no issues we brought our driver’s licenses, passports and birth certificates and all she looked at was our DL’s. So easy! To be safe I would bring more than one piece of ID each…just in case! @@deecol – We’re lucky that the former brides shared their photos and vision as they went through the planning process. It can be so hard to visualize everything and it’s so reassuring once we see theirs come to life J Guest Book Frame: I received the proof last Tuesday via email (it was supposed to arrive the Friday before; no big deal) and…it wasn’t what I wanted at all. I partially blame myself because although I did outline what I was looking for, I could have been clearer. I wasn’t worried at all because I knew she offered unlimited revisions. I had read in her reviews that she was so quick with revisions but it’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything. Last night I saw on her Company Instagram that she had just gotten engaged (maybe that’s why there is such a delay?) Not sure but you just reminded me and I convo’d her on Etsy. She ended up getting back to me tonight (this reply has been open on my computer for 6 hours now lol) and apologized and said the revisions would be out soon. We (I) splurged a lot on this purchase so I hope we’re not disappointed. @ – I’ve already told you and Dee this but although I am glad her post got deleted I’m a little disappointed I didn’t get the chance to read it haha Probably for the better though – I intentionally didn’t respond to her messages offering feedback because I didn’t want it! I got feedback from level headed brides with reasonable expectations which had beautiful weddings…that’s all I needed or ever asked for. Thanks for the back up

Centerpieces I put this off FOREVER because my last spray painting adventure was a complete disaster. This time around, after ruining one mason jar, the others turned out alright. It's hard to tell in the picture but they are metallic gold. I stopped after four just in case I was ruining them but I think I’ve got it figured out and will finish the last 5 tomorrow. The plan for our guest tables… - White table cloths with champagne coloured sequin table runners - Gold mason jars to hold flowers (using bridesmaids bouquets – ordered one extra so I would have one for each table) - Multiple metallic votives on each table - Multiple clear votives on each table - Table numbers: white rustic frames with gold number and blush background; not purchased yet I am patiently waiting for my flowers to ship (scheduled for February 24th) so that I can see everything all together. I’ll make sure to take a photo once I have everything assembled on my dining room table I think I may need more décor for the guest tables but I want to wait until I see the flowers to make that decision. If you think I am missing something, feel free to chime in

@@KBrown We have 10 in our bridal party + us. We decided to do three rectangular tables for us and our bridal party and then rounds for our guests. If you look in my gallery I have posted the dimensions of the rectangular, square and round tables. A few things I've seen... - sweetheart table and then have the bridal party sit with their significant others. - brides sit with their groom and his best man and her MOH and have the rest of the bridal party sit with their significant others. Personal preference really! My girls all said they wanted to sit at the front with Mike and I so that's what we're doing

@@snswedding2016 @@deecol @ I seriously love you ladies. Thank you for the ongoing support. I will not let her rant upset me, bring me down or discourage me at all. Our wedding will be beautiful - I have no doubt! For future brides that may be reading this thread, I promise to provide a full review post wedding and try my best to include as many details as possible. If something does go awry, I promise to offer advice as to how to avoid the situation and move forward so that you can enjoy your day. I think we'd be crazy to expect any wedding to go flawlessly and sometimes, especially with a DW, you have to roll with the punches. Some things are not only beyond your control but beyond the wedding coordinators, the resorts, etc control and you just need to smile and move on. I truly do think that with the right attitude and realistic expectations everything will work out for the best.

@@Kjmenden Out of curiosity, how did you expect this review to help me or any other future brides of Azul Fives? I’ll start by saying I am truly sorry to read about your wedding experience. No one should ever have to go through what you and your husband did. I do agree that you should leave the bad parts of your wedding behind and hold on the fact that you married the love of your life…and probably not try and terrify other women that are already committed to having their wedding there. You can see from my thread that I am getting married there in less than 4 months; there’s no turning back for us and I don’t feel your commitments are constructive at all. There is a big difference between criticism and constructive criticism. This forum is so wonderful because it allows women (& men) to share their experiences, both good and bad, and support each other through the inevitable struggles of planning a destination wedding. The purpose of constructive criticism is to improve the outcome and in your rant, you didn’t once offer any suggestions as to how to better the situation. I am getting married in just under 4 months and I can’t wait, despite your post!

@@krystalball thank you! We shopped around this weekend and found two linen suits - one at the bay and one at tommy bahama. Mike is now dead set on a particular blue that neither store carried so we are still on the hunt. I showed him Jesse's pants and he really liked them...but groomzilla neeeeeddsss a particular blue lol Thanks again for the feedback. And too funny about Jesse now wanting them for himself. Hey, just remember when he said "everyone will wear whatever they have" and be grateful that's no longer the case lol It makes me laugh every time I picture all the guys wearing "what they have" on your wedding day. Thank you for sharing that story
