  1. So today marks the one month mark until our guests final payments are due. Our TA emailed everyone on Friday reminding them of the March 28th deadline. I haven't figured out yet if she hates us or if she had to do this but 6 of the 8 paragraphs spoke about the zika virus... Our numbers were up to 61 a month ago and this morning we were sitting at 53. Most of those that backed out were plus ones so we weren't too upset. This evening my sister-in-law who is pregnant confirmed she cannot make it and neither will our nephew (our ring bearer ). We are super sad they won't be there but understand their decision 150%. Thank goodness for the live feed on the Sky Deck - at least they will get to see us get married. We're also going to look into Zoom after @@snswedding2016's recommendation or just using FaceTime to see them Final count as of 10pm tonight is 51 adults + 1 child. Of the 51 adults, 8 of our guests are 5-nights or less. We don't think we will have anyone else book and unfortunately have 2 more that may have to cancel due to health issues. Mike's cousins husband has been battling health issues for ages and they have said since day one they may not be able to make it. Fingers crossed he is okay and cleared to travel as we'd love to have both of them there with us. Right now we have 8 "single" guests. 4 are an easy match and the other 4 are not. We're working with everyone now to try and sort out who can room together so that no one is stuck with the single fee (almost $500 more per person). Guest Book Map - sent to print! It's coming from NYC and we should have it pretty soon Etsy Vendor: MissDesignBerryInc Cost: $71.58 for design, $34.30 for printing; total $129.74 This was more than we wanted to spend but it's the CDN $ that killed us. Her prices are reasonable before conversion lol We contacted other vendors and she wasn't the cheapest but her reviews were one of the best and we liked her work. Overall we are satisfied with the product - she also did 9 revisions! She was slow at first but picked up speed once she realized I had ordered and paid a month and a half prior. Since I've posted a lot of revisions I'll include the final draft one more time. Table Numbers & Signage - purchased tonight (except seating chart in case anything changes)! I had designed a bunch on my own but let's face it, I don't design things; I buy them. I tried! Etsy Vendor: CharmingEndeavours Cost: $2.76 - $5.54 per sign I'm including shots from the etsy vendor - not updated with our menu or hashtag yet. That's it for tonight. Time to STOP putting off the big things and let the little things wait. Hopefully by next weekend we have a few more decisions made
  2. @@deecol Good for you for making a list! I'm so scared to do that. If it makes you feel better mine would be waayyyyy longer. Yours seems very manageable! Your bags look great - lucky guests!! Just a thought about a guestbook alternative - there's a lot of vendors that have images you can download; they'll write your names and date on it and everyone can sign. Cost is pretty reasonable and then you avoid any shipping costs. I'll include a sample but there are seriously thousands to pick from.
  3. @@snswedding2016 Your thank you cards are beautiful! Great job being all over it. I know so many brides that out this off for so long (sometimes too long!). Sweet gesture to include a group shot as well
  4. @vancouverpeutunia I'm so sorry - I've missed so much! I've found the booking process with friends & family to be so frustrating. It's also been very eye opening. We had a ton of people who just never bothered to say they couldn't come but continue to talk with us as if nothing happened or is happening (ie. our wedding!). It's amazing how poor people's communication can be. Any update on your friend looking to get on your group transfer or the couple from Australia? Hurry up people. This wedding is coming fast! Late to the tanning topic but I struggle tanning in tanning beds too. Always burn at first and have these pressure points on my back that will not tan (literally two white spots lol). Move around every few minutes and make sure you use one of their overpriced lotions - they really do help your tan! Sounds like you had a great bachelorette party. Must have been great to have your MOH make it in from out-of-town! Ps. Love your FI's response to your autocorrect haha I might be more fan-girl but I have no idea who that is...probably because I've never watched Game of Thrones lol Your to-do list is getting shorter and shorter! I can't believe your wedding is so soon! I quickly went on Pinterest looking for drink inspiration for you and there are so many green cocktails - especially with St Patrick's Day around the corner. Have you looked? Here's one idea but go on and take a look! Good luck with your dress alterations!
  5. @@calgarybride2015 @@krystalball Thanks ladies. I considered making the hearts blush but I think I'm finally satisfied. We're going to make a decision by the end of the night but I'm 99% this one is the one
  6. Flowers - switched it up and went with all blush with baby's breath and lambs ear for the aisle bouquets. Can't wait to receive them I'll post pics as soon as I do. Guestbook Map - @@cruisebride2016 thanks for your opinion! I'm pretty set on hearts as markers with just the plane - I guess I feel less is more on this one. It's the background I'm not happy with. I've asked if she can do it in watercolours. Hoping she can and then a white background would be perfect. Just waiting on her response
  7. @@krystalball The response I received from my TA wasn't very clear but I thought I would share anyways... "The free passenger credit is calculated by the supplier, but it is minus taxes and surcharges. It is based on the least expensive package. Their base fare, amount pre tax includes surcharges that are not included in the credit and not calculated in the taxes. At final payment, as long as no one requests extensions or we have payment issues, Transat will let me know what the amount is. Prior to taking your final payment or anyone who will be receiving a credit, I will let you know what the amount owing is. You will receive the credit on your invoice at the time of final payment, to avoid refunds and cheques. When I give you the amount, you can let me know how much you will keep for yourself and how much to apply to other invoices".
  8. @@snswedding2016 I love reading your review and seeing all your beautiful pictures. You pulled every aspect of your wedding off. I knew it would look great but everything truly looked amazing. Well done That Zoom idea is great. I've always loved the idea of the live streaming on the sky deck but with that we can't see them. Might have to look into this idea! Your second dress is beautiful as well!
  9. @@krystalball Ah! I am not help to you because we are not at that point yet. Hopefully some of the Canadian TA's will have some feedback for you. I will email my TA and see if she has any useful information I can share with you as we are Air Transat as well.
  10. @@Wafflesmom Happy One Month Anniversary! I like that you followed tradition and didn't see Der until your ceremony. Although I'm not all about following traditions, I would do the exact same thing if my mum asked. Plus, slumber parties are the best...at any age! And great work sticking to the no booze the day before your wedding. That's my goal too but I anticipate us slipping up lol
  11. Sorry - here are the pictures. They were too big before but I think this should work.
  12. Thanks for all your feed back ladies! @@maybeoneday @ @@deecol @@snswedding2016 @@Wafflesmom @@calgarybride2015 I asked if they could send me a picture of the aisle bouquets in all blush with baby's breath and lambs ear. Here it is - what do you think? At this point I am just using the basic white garden chairs with no chair sashes. After seeing Steph's pictures I've considered just doing chair sashes on the chair ends. Perhaps gold sequin but undecided. Perian, I love the raspberry colour but not sure it fits with my vision. Plus Nathan has been SO patient with me I think he may finally snap if I ask for more pictures lol Guestbook Frame We received our proof and first revision from MissDesignBerry Inc on Etsy. I wasn't happy with the proof but I blame myself. I should have been more clear with my wants. Proof is the first picture, revision is the second. I still think the revision is missing something but I can't put my finger on it. I haven't asked her to submit for printing yet because I'm still trying to find that missing piece. I decided to not use our wedding colours because we wanted to be able to hang this in our house. What do you think?
  13. Congrats - your day is finally here! Hope is better than you imagined. Enjoy!
  14. @@deecol Oh I would definitely do that! And who cares if you look over the top post wedding? It's your wedding week and your wedding trip! From what I hear and read you'll appreciate the time it saves you in the mornings - more time to be enjohing time with your guests during your trip and you look like you put mascara on when you didn't. I say do it.
  15. @@deecol Your own lashes are beautiful but I agree with Perian. They will pop even more if you add to what you already have; maybe keep the length the same and just make them fuller? I've been going back and forth on this too. My hair dresser does lashes as well and suggested I try them out before leaving for Mexico to make sure I like how they feel. If I remember correctly she suggested getting them done 3-4 weeks before we depart, decide if I like the feel of them, they come back for a fill before we go. Just a suggestion for you as well!
  16. @@yycbride2016 Congrats on being legally married!!!! I hope you have an amazing trip. All the best
  17. @@KBrown Good that you didn't see it. It didn't seem to have a lot of validity to it. Not worth your time or mine Our weddings will be beautiful! If you search @@snswedding2016 and @@TinkerSofi you'll come across their threads. Read through them! Steph got married on the Sky Terrace and Sofi also got married on the Sky Deck so they'll be information there that will help you. And don't worry about having issues. I used to know how to start a thread and now for the life of me I can't figure it out haha If your final details are due Sunday they should have scheduled calls with you. I'd go to the Karisma site and use the live chat. Tell them your wedding ID number and say you'd like someone to get back to you asap as your details are due Sunday. I could be wrong but I don't think the Miami office works weekends. That means you'd need to get everything sorted today or tomorrow. Not trying to scare you but I'd try and get through to them now if Sunday is your deadline. Good luck!
