Hi! I was there last Nov. 2014. I fell in love with the resort and that's actually where he proposed to me. I would recommend coordinating with Raquel, she is the one my fiancé was in close contact with 6 months prior to the proposal and she did an outstanding job coordinating all the events that led to the proposal.
I did consider going back to get married there but decided it against it. Even though I fell in love with all the staff we got to know during our stay (service is fantastic) and the beautiful resort, I was put off by the wedding I saw take place while we were there.
I don't want to discourage you, but the beach was crowded and the bride that came out walked right through with her dad on her arm while all these strangers in bathing suits sat and watched on the beach chairs. We were actually eating lunch at some tables they have on the side and I actually felt like we were intruding. There HAS to be other options, maybe it was the time of day she chose or something- but I myself would want something more intimate and private.
I never did ask Raquel what other options there were, I know when I got back home and started looking into it I saw a gazebo in the wedding photos, that's something I didn't notice before. What I saw could've been the bride's preference, but I just thought you should keep that in mind.
