Look up waterproof wedding decals on etsy! I know there is some on there, I plan on doing that once I actually find some clear tumblers. I have also hear you can go to a company in your town that creates signs for companies and they can usually make something up for you for a decent price Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cancun Resorts With Private Rooftop Terrace/balcony?
AliciaW replied to Jessicaallie's topic in Newbies!!
We are getting married in April 2017 at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Riviera Maya. They have a rooftop terrace you can have your ceremony and reception at. We have chosen to have a beach ceremony but we would like a private reception so we are going to have our reception on the private rooftop terrace Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Putting Prices On Website?
AliciaW replied to AliciaW's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thanks everyone! I was thinking it would make it easier but wasn't sure if it was proper etiquette. I'm sending out the the website today so I will be putting the prices on before I send it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I have just got my group quotes from my travel agent and have done up my website. I was going to do save the dates but with my group booking, deposits have to be in by August.12 so I'm thinking giving everyone my website asap with the details is best then I can send out save the dates or invitations. I'm just wondering if I should put all the prices on my website or not? I have put all the info about what's included in the package, and my travel agents info and that a deposit of $250 has to be paid by August.12 then the full payment in Jan 2017, and to contact my travel agent for prices. Is that enough? Or is putting prices in my website better? Thanks so much for your input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is It Normal For Group Pricing To Be More?
AliciaW replied to AliciaW's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thank you! I think we might just go with westjet after all. Looked into transat and it was slightly cheaper but our guests would have to pay by the end of August. I guess it was just a shock when you don't really know what to expect for group vacations. I feel happier knowing that this is probably our best option Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Is It Normal For Group Pricing To Be More?
AliciaW replied to AliciaW's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thank you for the reply! I asked my travel agent about it and she messaged west jet for me. I guess west jet averages out the prices. The prices they have on the website are short lived and they only sell a few of them. But literally the flights and days are all the exact same. There is no real special perks that come with it, there's no one time price adjustment. What really gets me is that the price for my 4 year old daughter went from $990 to almost $1400 plus tax!! And their "book 15 rooms and get the 16th free" doesn't include kids tickets. Like I'm paying almost as much for my kid so why shouldn't it be included? I'm thinking I might try to go with a different air line and see if they have a better group booking package. We are getting married April 2017. We really want to go with Sandos Caracol Eco Resort but we also thought it was cheaper so I guess we will see now. I just want to secure something so we can start planning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I have been working with a travel agent through sell off vacations to find the best resort for ours and our guests budgets. We had finally decided on one that we loved, the price was right ($1550 per adult, $990 for a child over 2, with taxes included) and the wedding package has what we're looking for. I asked the travel agent to find out about group rates from westjet which is the airline this deal was through. She messaged me back saying the group rate is $1775 per adult, $1300 for child over 2 plus taxes) then if you get 15 rooms you get one free flight/hotel. Is this normal? For some reason I was under the impression that if you booked as a group it might be a bit cheaper. Why would my guests want to pay $200 more then they could? And I wouldn't expect them to when they are already paying to come to my wedding. I'm feeling flustered because of this and wondering if this is the norm or should I be inquiring with a different travel agent? Sorry for the rant! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello all, We have just started planning our wedding for April 2017. We have picked a resort in Riviera Maya but have not booked it yet as our travel agent is just waiting to hear back about rates. One of the questions she asked me was what time of day do we want to get married and I hadn't thought about that. I said 5 because I thought maybe it won't be so hot then. I also found my dress last night, it's a mermaid dress and I'm worried that I'm going to be very warm and sweaty haha. My question is when did you or are you having your ceremony? Is 5 too late for a ceremony? Also how long do you take taking pictures between the ceremony and reception? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you @@DLW0409 and @@tiffanyt I think I'm understanding a little more how it works now. I just need to get the deadline from my travel agent and once I have that I know I should send out my invitations a couple months before the deadline. I was feeling very confused about all this save the date and invitation business but I think I get it now. Are you supposed to put an rsvp in the save the date? Or just in the invitation? Love to see that there is other's out there getting married there! Not to much information out there but it looks beautiful! Hello all! We have recently started planning our destination wedding for April 2017. We have been talking to a travel agent and we have decided on Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. We are going today to get all the information on pricing and deposits and such. My question is because the wedding is in 9 months and we're going to need deposits sooner then later is it better to send invitations now with all the info since we will have it or should I just send save the dates? I'm going to want to give the travel agents name and phone number and the dates and hotel. Has anyone done save the dates with your wedding website on it then on the website put the travel agents info and give all the information you have on that?

I recently got engaged and we've decided we're having a Mexico wedding in November 2016. I'm told you can't book anything until a year before your trip so I have a while. I'm wondering how everyone went about finding out how many people were going to come to their destination wedding since you want to know for when you go see the travel agent and that is before you send out invitations or save the dates. Did you message or call everyone to ask or did anyone make a Facebook group early to figure that out? Thanks in advance! Any info helps

We just got engaged last week and have already decided we want to do a destination wedding! We're thinking Mexico because it's probably the most affordable for everyone coming. I'm just wondering what the average price is for a wedding in Mexico. And does anyone have any suggestions for great resorts with more affordable wedding packages? Any advice helps here as we're just starting to look. Thanks!
