@@veryvalentine Love your planning thread! The dress is gorgeous and love the jewellery. I do not have an arty part of me so lucky we are doing the wedding with just the two of us. Similarly my mom passed away a few years ago so between FI and I we only have one living parent who is horrid (FI's mom) so decided to go it alone. Hi Laura, Congratulations xx I initially wanted our ceremony there but after booking the hideaway section they wanted to charge $1500 plus wedding package cost. As it is just two if us we didn't want a reception but that was not taken into account. Unfortunately we declined so did not enquire further. Quick question - I asked Royalton whether we could have someone else come in to do hair/makeup and photos. She said it is $850 per vendor!! This seems very high but wondered if anyone else has had a quote? Other Royalton resorts (in other countries) charge $250-450 am I being totally ripped off? My FI and I started dating on Valentines Day 2000. We got engaged in September 2000. We waited as we were moving around with work for a few years. Then decided to buy first. Finally decided to tie the knot in 2011 but FI got made redundant. Postponed to Valentines Day 2013 but mother got diagnosed with cancer and passed away in December 2012 so cancelled.
