Are you all bringing place cards for a seating arrangement? If so, what are you using for the name cards? I'm concerned they may blow away! -
Thank you so much for this review! I've been hesitant to book PSAV because JSAV has gotten such good reviews... but I didn't want to pay for JSAV either. I'll definitely go with PSAV now! Did you get the lighted DJ booth or just the basic DJ package?

@@Wafflesmom I haven't really done anything other than reserve rooms and then reserved times and locations for the wedding and reception. What should I have done by now? Should I be reserving a DJ, decorations, etc already? I asked her that but she has never responded. When you reserve the DJ, decor, etc, do you put down deposits directly through them or how does it work? (These were my questions that she has never answered). My wedding is February 20, 2016, so just one month after yours!

@@Wafflesmom No we haven't had a call! She told me that she wanted to set up a call and I gave her my phone number and asked what her availability was. She never responded. I wrote and asked her a question about a week later and she never responded to that. She did email me a few days ago to ask if Elizabeth had sent me vendor info. Please let me know how your call goes! I would like to talk to her!

@ yeah it seems like most aren't. I had Elizabeth before Yanet and she was actually very responsive (would email back the same day or the next). She also seemed very thorough. Oh well... I'm hoping that everything just eventually comes together.

@@jj575757 My wedding coordinator is Yanet and she isn't responsive at all. I'm still waiting on a reply to an email I sent two weeks ago.

@ Thank you so much for the information! I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble. My last coordinator answered all of my questions very promptly and sent me a lot of information. The new one usually doesn't respond for at 10 days or sometimes not at all.

@ Thanks so much! Did you put a deposit down for PSAV? How far in advance did you need to reserve him? My wedding isn't until February, but I don't want to miss anything of course.

How far in advance did ya'll reserve the DJ, decorations, etc? Do you pay those vendors directly or do you pay it via your account with Palace Resorts (I'll use the Palace approved vendors). I had a great wedding planner that was very responsive, but now I have a new one and she never responds to me (Yanet). Does the money I paid to reserve rooms just get credited toward the other wedding stuff? I'm not sure how all of it works. Thanks guys!

@ thanks! Did your reservation website just quit working? Were they able to accomodate you and did you just have to pay more money to reserve additional rooms?

Did anyone exceed their originally reserved rooms? Our reserved rooms are almost full but guests are still booking... I'm wondering if they will still be able to keep booking through our website even after our reserved rooms are booked?

I know I've read the answer to this question on here before, but can't seem to find it now - I apologize for re-asking! Can anyone tell me exactly how the complimentary rooms work? For example, once we have 10 rooms booked, can I assign the 11th room to someone and they will not have to pay? Also, has anyone used their complimentary rooms for their honeymoon? Any info you all have would be great. This blog is so helpful!

When your guests start booking, do you receive some sort of weekly email (or monthly?) about who has reserved their rooms? I thought I read that somewhere, but now I can't find it! I just want to make sure I keep up with how many rooms are served and such. Thanks guys!

Did everyone use Gama for decor? Do I contact them myself, or does the wedding planner do that? My wedding planner sent me a brochure, but it doesn't have prices or anything - just some examples. My wedding isn't until February 2016, so I have some time, but I'm not sure when I am supposed to be reserving things!

I received tons of information from my wedding planner yesterday. The buffet menus say they are a max of 50 people - what do we do if we have more than 50 people? I've emailed the wedding planner, but I thought you guys may give me a better answer!

@@FutureMrsGarcia Thanks so much! I may try to cram everyone in then! I'm getting confused between the sky wedding deck and the sky terrace - are they two different things? Did everyone use their Palace Resort Wedding site? I was just going to use one on the knot, but I'm not sure if the Palace Resort weddings sites make it easier for people to book rooms?

@ - we are expecting at least 100 but maybe closer to 125. She said the max is 80. Do you think it can hold more than that? Maybe I should try to convince her!

@Wafflesmom and @perianjay thanks for the tips on wedding bags! I'm going to be on the lookout too, because I love the bags on Wedding Chicks! I just talked to my wedding planner for the first time - her name is Elizabeth. Has anyone had her? Also, has anyone gotten married on the beach? I think that is my best option for a wedding my size, but I'm worried about the lack of privacy! She also suggested the Sky Terrace for the reception. Any thoughts ya'll have would be awesome!
