  1. @@yycbride2016 I love your planning thread so far! I'm getting married 3 days before you, so its nice to see where you are in the process! I love the BMs dresses!
  2. Are you guys getting pinned corsages or wrist corsages or something else for the mother of the bride and mother of the groom? I had wanted to get them small bouquets, but my bridesmaids bouquets won't be super large and I don't want the mother's flowers to be the same...
  3. @@stephygirl Thanks! Your wedding is so soon congrats! I think you have already answered this question, but I can't find it. When you got your PO, were your vendors included on the one bill or did you pay them separately? How far in advance do you receive it? Thanks again!
  4. @@stephygirl Thanks for the info about ceremony music! I was wondering this too. Does someone run the sound for you or do you have to designate a friend to do it?
  5. @@stephygirl Thank you so much for the info! Your wedding is so close. Do you feel like things started to come together once you got your onsite coordinator? I'm hoping mine will be more responsive than the current coordinator!
  6. @@ashlynm88 Choosing the resort was the most difficult and frustrating part for me! I wanted everything to be perfect for our guests and family friendly. I think I read every trip advisor review for ever resort in Mexico. One thing I had to remember is that even the perfect resort will have a few bad reviews - someone there will have a bad experience. If you look up your favorite restaurant, you'll probably see a few bad reviews. Have you looked at Moon Palace? I'm getting married at Beach Palace, but we stayed at Moon Palace in December and it definitely has a resort feel. It is huge with tons of amenities for families and adults (golf course, dolphin swim, putt putt golf, a kids zone fun room, a teen room, etc.). It also has a disco for nightlife. The food there was great! You do have to wear a wristband at Moon Palace, but I think that is the case for most all inclusives. I've been told the wedding party can cut the wristband off for the wedding and you can get a new one (but maybe check on that before you book...).
  7. @@LauraM Congratulations! You look so happy and beautiful and it looks like your wedding was a blast. The video is very cool! Thank you for sharing.
  8. @@jj575757 it is really expensive if you don't reach enough room nights for the free private events! I do know there is an extra charge for the beach (like $7 per person extra maybe). If you want to have a welcome party but not spend the money on dinner, you could do a welcome cocktail hour. We qualified for free events, so I don't remember the exact cost of the cocktail hour but I know if was a lot cheaper than dinner!
  9. For those of you using Zuniga, do they charge a transportation/set up fee AND an event decor planning fee? @@MissAmber26 I was wondering the same thing about the Welcome Reception/Dinner. I think I would rather people mingle rather than sit down to eat, but I still wanted to serve dinner (using my unlimited events), so I'm not sure exactly how to make that happen.
  10. @@stephygirl thank you so much for the info! Please update us when you get back. I would love to hear how the terraces are/what I need concerning lighting. The glow sticks are a great idea. I'm going to do that too I think!
  11. @@stephygirl welcome to the forum and congrats on your wedding being so close! My events are also on the Palenque Terrace and Sky Bar South. How much extra lighting did you rent? Since I haven't been there, I'm not sure how much additional lighting is needed. As far as the free events, check your contract. Mine says I get unlimited free events with 75+ room nights, but I know there was something free for 60 room nights as well. (I can look at mine tomorrow for you if that would be helpful).
  12. @ That is awesome! How are you transporting them all there without them getting crushed? (Or maybe they don't crush... haha) Have you seen them in person? I'm just wondering if they really look like real flowers.
  13. @perianjay that sounds awesome. Can you share with me what vendor you are using for the real touch flowers? I may do that for my rehearsal dinner centerpieces. Have you seen them in person? I wonder if it would be too risky to do that for bridesmaid bouquets.
  14. @ ok thanks! I will wait a little longer maybe and see if they respond. What are you doing instead of flowers?
  15. @ oh Lily is the one who never wrote me back! Maybe I should try her again? Or, maybe I had the wrong email address. I'm glad to hear that they matched the price. Do they do flowers as well or just decor?
  16. @ I contacted Celeste. I had contacted someone else originally, but that person never wrote me back and then found celeste's email somewhere. She did respond but then I asked for a quote on a few things and she hasn't written back - it's been a week since I emailed. Who have you been in touch with? Maybe I should just give her more time. Are you working with Zuniga and having a good experience? Has anyone used Grupo Gama for their decor?
  17. @@MissAmber26 Me too! It's difficult to put it all together since we can't actually see it! They will send you ideas as well, though. I just emailed them all with what I knew I wanted and asked for ideas/catalogs/pricing. Latin asia sent a catalog to look at and Grupo Gama sent a lot of pictures.
  18. @@MissAmber26 this is the contact I have for Latin Asia - latinasia.coordination@@gmail.com. I've been getting quotes from Claudia, but I'm not sure if there are other coordinators. I've also been getting quotes from Grupo Gama and Zuniga (although Zuniga has been super slow at responding). I've just sent some pictures of things I like and described what I want and they have sent quotes. Latin Asia and Grupo Gama both have pinterest boards you can browse if you use pinterest.
  19. Has anyone brought or is anyone bringing their own chair sashes for the reception? I'm wondering if it will be too much of a hassle to bring them and put them on chairs myself or have a friend do it... Latinasia does not offer them to rent.
  20. @@MissAmber26 is it the chocolate brown structure with the sheer white sheets?
