Hi Girls, I'm less than 2 weeks away from the big day!. For those of you who got makeup done at the Spa, did you think they did a good job? I'm not doing a trial beforehand and have a few friends on standby to fix the makeup if needed. Also, how big was the wedding cake (height, width)? Trying to figure out what to do with the topper. Thanks for the feedback! I haven't tried contacting the decor company but if you're not getting a response ask your wedding coordinator to get in touch with her. When I emailed the florist directly, she replied saying that she'll be in touch with my WC about options/prices.

Does anyone know if the hair/make-up person from the spa can come to the room? Or everything needs to be done at the spa? Also, how much time should I budget for hair and make-up?

For DJ, I'm using DJ Doremixx, I know someone who used him before and was happy with the service. Both are outside of the hotel vendor list.

Congratulations and good luck with the planning! I've stayed in the adults only building and loved it. It was nice to have a quiet section of the beach with no children, plus the adults only side has beach beds with shades. They have one restaurant that's only designated to building 6 (excellence building), had breakfast there once, it was really good. You get nice little perks when you stay there. We have a lot of kids coming to our wedding so it'll be nice to get away from everyone for a bit. I totally think it's worth it. Aaaand you have an AMAZING view from the balcony.

Does anyone know if young kids are counted as part of total guest head-count? And if there's a separate rate for children for the reception.

Congratulations Jeanine! You looked amazing. Was the photographer reasonably priced? Most photographers I looked into were $4k and up for 8 hours. Who did you use for video? (if you had one)

Hello ladies, Congratulations to all! I'm getting married at the Finest on 12/13/15. Booked the wedding date and reserved a block of rooms. Planning to have a ceremony on the beach. Not sure about the reception yet, we'll probably have 80+ people. I was told that the Finest and Excellence resorts share the meeting/conference space, which is big enough to accommodate a large group. Bringing my own photographer but not sure what to do for video yet. I'm a little concerned that the video vendor the hotel provides has zero reviews. The centerpieces are a little pricey so I'm thinking of shipping a box with supplies there and making my own (something simple and beachy, like a large candle in a vase with some sand and sea shells). I just booked a mini vacation to the Finest for the last week of May. Going to meet with the wedding coordinator and hopefully reserve the reception space. If anyone wants pictures of specific areas let me know.
