  1. Just ordered my Invitations, and sent out a save the date email with a link to our wedding website a couple of weeks ago... a bit proud of myself and wanted to share
  2. You wonderful ladies are probably all over this already. But for anyone like myself who didn't find this out until today, you can order a free wedding invitation kit from vistaprint. It was hard for me to pick a size, paper thickness etc without physically seeing it, so I find samples and things like this really helpful. Here's the link: https://secure.vistaprint.com/wedding-sample-kit.aspx xoxo
  3. @@calgarybride2015 @@vancouverpetunia They wouldn't honour the 2015 prices, but sent out the 2016 prices and I'm pretty sure they are really close if not exactly the same, I haven't had the time to go through everything yet.
  4. @@racht33 I used weddingwire.com They have really pretty designs and was really easy to use. We have people coming from a few different countries so it was important that the website be easy to use for updates and accept RSVPs. We sent out our save the dates via email to about 60 people with a link to access the website about 8 days ago and have over 174 views - so people are definitely checking the website often for updates. And it's free!
  5. @@CatrinaMcG Thank you again so much for sending those prices. They finally sent the 2016 prices through and they're pretty much the same from what I've seen so far. I think there is just a lot on Linda's plate and she's confusing us with some other couples. When I say beach, she says gazebo. When I say the 30th she replies confirming the 29th. It's super frustrating because you don't hear back for a couple days as well... the last email I got had 2 out of 3 things correct. My TA sent her another email to confirm so hopefully the next email will be the final one.
  6. @@diadiamond Speak to Travel Advantage and Tours Inc. as well. They were the company who got all our quotes down and they have been really helpful along the way. They are even including custom beach bags with our booking! I'm sure they could get you a quote for your honeymoon and they are happy to try and beat any quote you bring them as much as they can.
  7. @@Shannonandangelina I hear you. Just getting Linda to confirm our location and time has been a nightmare. I ask questions and it's like she skims over the email and writes what ever she thinks relates to it. Even my travel agent can't believe the communication. Aaarrrrggghhh Just need to stay positive. Everything will be fine
  8. I'm getting married at GBP one year today! Just waiting on Linda to confirm my ceremony location and we're all set! Thanks for all the info you've provided so far on this thread ladies! I know it's a bit far, but if anyone comes across my post and is getting married around the same time let me know, perhaps we can split the cost of a photographer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just an update for anyone reading this forum. While I was having good experience with Romantic Planet, I was of course gathering other quotes and comparing, Any quote I got that was cheaper they agreed to match but never beat. While waiting for one last quote before booking, the RP agent we were dealing with was leaving on vacation the next day and we got the impression she didn't want to wait for us to decide. While I completely believe everyone deserves a vacation, she actually said to us "in an ideal world we would have the contract signed before I leave". In an ideal world? what? She was passing us onto her colleague once she left and gave us her name, but never sent an introduction email or connected us in any way. Like we were annoying her that we didn't book right away. Needless to say, we have booked with another company, who were able to drop the price for each guests 7 night stay by $130 and got $200 off both mine and my fiancé's 14 night stay. I don't want to speak poorly of anyone, just giving my opinion and I have heard good things about RP.
  10. Booked our venue and flights! ahhh!!!

  11. @@veryvalentine Love the sparkler idea! Will make for beautiful photos!
  12. @@vancouverpetunia For sure! Thanks!
  13. @@calgarybride2015 I'm all over it lol I've already asked some of the ladies to send me pricing. @@Ruzanna Thanks for the tips! I'll need a place to go with the ladies one of the nights for sure
  14. @@Ruzanna Amazing! Have you seen any weddings happen? When are you looking to book? I still only have the 2015 basic pricing, I can email to you if you like? you'll just have to PM me your email address. I've requested the pricing for extras but haven't heard back. If you get any other pricing info let me know and I'll be sure to do the same!
  15. @@CatrinaMcG 2015 prices would be great, just so we can get a general idea. Do you have just the package prices? or the prices for extras as well? Thanks!!
  16. @@calgarybride2015 That's another thing I'm trying to figure out, they haven't released their prices for 2016 yet. They have sent me the basic package prices for 2015, and I'm trying to get a price list for the extras to compare.
  17. Hi Ladies, We're only a couple of days away from booking our April 2016 wedding here. I have all the travel prices and while I've been in touch with Linda and they do not have the pricing for 2016 yet, she sent me the 2015 pricing but it's only the basic packages - does anyone have the pricing for extras? If so, please let me know and I'll PM you my email. Really appreciate the help! We're pretty much decided on this resort, just would like to know how much we're in for lol xo
  18. @@krystalball I know what you mean! @@calgarybride2015 Should get a commission from GS! haha I would've picked GS hands down, but GBP is beautiful too and if it means a bit less money for our guests then I'm down. With the conversion at the moment, saving £100 is about $180pp for us in Canada. The memories will stand out much more than any building
  19. @@calgarybride2015 I will for sure!!!
  20. @@calgarybride2015 ahhh I love GS and I'm totally bias because of your review lol But we have to compare it to the rate we're getting for the UK guests and GBP is £100 cheaper pp than GS! We haven't booked yet, should be sorted in a couple of days! eeeeeeee :)
  21. @@Victoriabride That was a quote for the Grand Bahia Principe Coba. They also got the price down by $70pp for the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya from Toronto.
