  1. @@jes0912 Congrats on your engagement! Your planning thread is great so far! What a great price for your ring! I never thought to but I'll have to check Winners out as well. Sorry if I missed it - When are you planning to get married? Looking forward to reading more!
  2. @ hahaha "Ain't nothing wrong with a little yolo-ing every now and then". You're so right! And you can come over to Mama Dee's kitchen for gnocchi any time you like!! I can't bake but I'm a decent cook I screwed up the chocolate mousse lol so you would have to bring the dessert. @@Wafflesmom Ugh sooo annoying how quick their bodies respond! The guy has like insta-abs and you can already see them coming through. I'm going to have to beat him, I'm too competitive lol We are waiting on 4 out of 19 people to pay their balances so we're in good shape Someone literally messaged me while I was typing this to let me know they paid. The UK people have their own deadlines as it was more expensive to get them a group rate and they booked on their own. Our deadline was a bit earlier because they included an "early booking bonus" which made it possible to get the trips for $1259 pp. I actually love my new flower arrangement, I'm feeling really confident with it. Thanks for all your feedback. It's so helpful to post some pics and get opinions! I got naughty cupcakes for the bachelorette - they have umm "male genitals" on top lol. It was so awkward ordering - I was like "ummm they don't need to be realistic... I want her to know what they are but it's not a science class so I don't need details..." lol I'm picking them up from a bakery on the way to Ottawa on Saturday. I would post pictures but I don't know if I'm aloud lol
  3. Thanks for getting this going again @@calgarybride2015! @@Wafflesmom I'm glad you're enjoying the hiitmax! I haven't been very good with it lately, I've been working out, just haven't made it past week 2 of the program yet. I indulged on the weekend - Made a three-course meal for Col that included 3 apps (I'm Italian...) dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert. I did try to swap healthy options in where I could - I made gnocchi and used 2/3 sweet potato instead of all white and made my own fresh pesto sauce. We were so full we couldn't even drink all the wine I bought to go with dinner Needless to say I haven't lost any weight... but I didn't gain either which is good. I started the week right by making a big crockpot of chicken chili for lunches loaded with veggies and beans and paired it with quinoa. I also bought this buckwheat pancake flour from Bulk Barn that you mix with water, it's full of protein and fibre so I've been having that with egg whites for breakfast. I've been working out (spin & weights) consistently, and going to start adding hiitmax back in. Colin is really motivated at the moment. He started changing up his workouts and his body is reacting so quickly (ugh guys!) so he's finally motivating me to stay on it when it's usually the other way around. We're hitting our 6 month mark soon and had almost all the Canadian payments come through (deadline is tomorrow) so I think it's becoming real to him how close this is coming! My best friend's bachelorette is this weekend - I'm not planning on drinking very much since I'm doing all the driving from Toronto to Ottawa and back, I definitely don't want to drive 5 hours with a hangover. I did order naughty cupcakes and I know we're going out for dinner but I will try my best to behave - YOLO (do the kids still say that? ) Wedding planning - as you can see in my thread, I've been playing around with my flowers... and took an inventory of everything that I've purchased in the last few months. I've added a couple things that I'll post pics of soon in my thread.
  4. It's here!!! Enjoy your big day, I hope it's everything you dreamed of and more!!! xoxoxo Can't wait to see some pics! And hear all about it!
  5. @@calgarybride2015 I think I definitely feel more comfortable holding this bouquet because I don't have to worry about which way it's being held. And when I add the silver ribbon around the stems I think it will look beautiful. I think my first one is really unique but at the same time it's so structured... Just got Col's opinion and he really liked the second, more round bouquet. And the 3 lilies instead of 5 in the BMs bouquets. Thank you ladies for your feedback. I really appreciate it! Keep it coming Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Haha you're so funny @@Wafflesmom! I've just been playing around, I can't decide. I even tried the lilies in the middle of the roses, but it thought it looked too tall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I played around a bit more: It's a bit more circular. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. @@RivieraBride15 Congrats on your legal ceremony! Keeping my fingers crossed for you for good weather!
  9. @ I'm not a flower expert either, I still need to take the flower arrangement course I signed up for. But I personally wouldn't put any leaves with the lilies. I only used greenery in my bouquet because of the roses. I do have hints of silver in my colour scheme, so I think silver is good colour to go with for the ribbon and it won't be clashing with anything ie wrong shade of pink or white
  10. @ Thank you - I love my flowers too What do you think about the arrangement? As much as I like it I going to play with it again tonight and see what else I can do. For the BM's bouquets, I'm really leaning towards 3, but both my sister and best friend say 5... I don't mind the bouquets being smaller, I just think it looks a lot cleaner and really shows off how beautiful the lilies are. They're big as well, so when there are more put together they can easily squish... @@calgarybride2015 haha you must think I'm nuts... This is what I was thinking. But I feel like with Christmas stock out now I will have tons of silver ribbon options.
  11. @@calgarybride2015 I agree! Do you think silver would look nice? Like a translucent, mesh type? I'm probably not describing it right, I'll find a pic online lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks @@Wafflesmom! I've never seen a bouquet like mine either, I just played around until it looked nice. I'll most likely keep it this way but wanted to get some feed back. The view from the side is nice: It shows off the lilies a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think the 3 stems is nice too! I'm so torn! I was going to wrap the stems in either white ribbon, but now I'm thinking maybe silver to go with the silver bits I'm adding? Initially I was also thinking about just gluing them together and not using ribbon but still playing around with all that. Would love some feedback! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thank you @@calgarybride2015 I didn't have a shape for my bouquet in mind, I just wanted to find something that worked for my flowers even if it wasn't "circle" lol I don't know the terminology either. I was going to possibly add more smaller, closed roses and some extra greenery but I may not now. The roses came with detachable greenery that I could slide into the bouquet wherever. I'm so in love with the look of the big lilies and roses. I'm in two minds with the BMs bouquets, I think I'm leaning towards the 3 only because then the lilies don't look squished. But all the opinions I've gotten so far say to go with 5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. @@Wafflesmom absolutely keep an open mind! I started out only wanting a flower and even after getting my dress I thought the bottom had too much going on for a veil but I tried them on together and they look amazing! Looking forward to seeing more pics!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Been playing around with my flowers... What do you ladies think? And for the bridesmaids bouquets... 3? Or 5? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Blue elastics not included obviously lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Have an amazing time!!! Can't wait to hear and see everything!!! Xoxoxo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. @@yycbride2016 So sorry to hear about the loss of your job, must of been so scary with the wedding coming up. But really happy it's worked out for you and you were able to find another one so quickly! Fab shoes! And I'm sure they will go great with your dress which will 100% not be sold on eBay like your fiancé said lol. Leave it to guys to always make a situation like that better... Can't wait to see!
  18. OMG that's what I was going to do! But I love the words so much I'm using that version to walk down the aisle to.
  19. omg @@acw271011 my heart just broke for you reading that. I am soooo sorry! I just want to give you a gigantic hug! I know how excited you were to see your son that week, and I don't blame you for not wanting to go see him after. I am so sorry this happened to you so close to your big day. But like the other ladies have said, this is about you and Doug in the end, celebrating your love and all that you have been through together that make you such an incredible couple. I promise it will still be as beautiful and magical as you envisioned and all your hard work and planning will pay off! We are all here for you! xoxoxo
  20. @@Wafflesmom Thank you so much I've only lost a few pounds but even my best friend was amazed how different it looked. The drop waist is so much more obvious now with my waist being a bit smaller. Right now the dress is a zip with the button and loop closure over it.
  21. @@Wafflesmom It's a lot tougher than it seems!!! 15 minute sounds like nothing but it's killer!!! I'm so glad you tried it and liked it! Col is so curious about my dress lol! But there is no way he's seeing it until the big day. I got a pic but it's awful - I'll try it on again next time I go to my mom's and take a better one. I actually love it so much more than I already did! I can't believe I get to wear something so beautiful @@cruisebride2016 Oooo we bought our dresses around the same time! I would def try it on especially if you feel like you've already lost a few inches. You may be pleasantly surprised or it may give you a kick in the butt! I tried to scroll back but I couldn't find it - when is your wedding date again?
  22. Happy Wedding Day!!! I hope it's everything you ever dreamed of! Share some pics when you get back!!!
