I feel like even if we are on top of things we will feel like there is always something left to do! We were planning to look at bands over the Christmas break but I saw this on an extended cyber Monday sale and grabbed it while I could. @@Wafflesmom haha I definitely didn't want to take it off! I wore it for bit, took a couple pictures, then took it off before Colin got home... then put it back on when he came home because he wanted to see it... lol eventually I put it away, but now I feel like my finger is missing something lol I woke up so excited this morning! I'm going to start working on my centrepieces, I have this vision in my head... hopefully it works out, I will of course post pics! I'm going to work on a logo for our beach bags, my girlfriend works in textiles and might be able to sort something out for us

@@ashhtayy It's super hard with them being so far away, I'm so glad we have a chance to involve her more instead of just seeing her in Mexico! @@Wafflesmom eeee I know! I couldn't believe it when she told me! They have had it booked for months and were going to just walk in and surprise me but decided to tell me because they know how much of a planner I am lol. Since I've found out they're coming, I've already made us mani appts and a lunch reservation for the day before. I will for sure post pics of everything! I can't wait to get more stuff done and share it! I missed you ladies!!!! It's been so busy at work and home and I missed being on here - I'm back! I've been able to pop in occasionally but I need to catch up on everyone's threads. @@acw271011 Oh I didn't realize you got your rings at People's as well - it's definitely going to be gorgeous then I couldn't resist the price! I will for sure post pics of the band and dress and anything else that do - I can't wait! I'm having a hen night as well (love that you called it that!) but we will be doing it in Mexico 2 nights before the wedding, All of Col's friends and groomsmen will be there, as well as the girls I met when I lived in London, so we will be splitting up the men and ladies and having our nights there. So I'll have my bridal shower in Feb here and bachelorette/hen-do in Mexico on April 28th.

Alright.. getting back into wedding planning! I have a small but super exciting update: I found out that Colin's mom and best friend are flying in from London in February for my bridal shower!!! I can't believe it and am so happy to have them there! I have decided to have the corset added to my dress, so I'm dropping it off on Jan 9th and have arranged the fitting and pickup date for when Col's mom is here It's so nice that she can be so involved in everything! I will post pictures of the dress when I pick it up with my veil. I ordered my wedding band on Monday night! It's a dainty half eternity white gold band from peoples. I got it on the last night of their extended cyber sale and it should arrive in a couple of weeks. Will of course post some pics of it! We've also started filling out our wedding wishes to send to the resort. We now have 43 people booked, not including col and I! We have about 5 more who say they are "definitely booking!"... I purchased some really pretty silver ribbon for the bouquets: I figured now is the time to find those silver accents I'm after Over the Christmas break, Colin and I will be looking for his wedding band, suits for the guys, searching for our cake topper, downloading some more music for our app and finishing up our wedding wishes. Time is seriously flying!!!

@@Wafflesmom omg what a nightmare! I'm sooo sorry!! They can't just charge people's card without their authorization! My TA said she would charge my cousin's card if she didn't hear back and I immediately told her not to.

@jes0912 @vancouverpetunia We have 2 triple occupancy rooms and 1 single and they were counted as 7 seats. Our TA said Air Canada was making an exception, it didn't reall affect our number or comps but they defintely can make the exception if they want to.

@@calgarybride2015 Okay thanks, I'll mention the to my TA, I think she hates me with all the questions I've asked her but whatever. We have over 40 poeple booked but 24 of them are flying from the UK so obviously they don't count towards our package! Would have been nice! My dad got a connector from Ottawa to Toronto for $100 and my sister's friend got hers from Fort Mac, Alberta to Toronto for $290.

@@calgarybride2015 Did you get your first class upgrade at the airport or did your TA sort for you? We got every 11th guests free comp as well. Had 19 though so only were able to get one. Still a bonus!

@@jes0912 Oh I didn't know there was a difference! My invoice says Air Canada Vacations. I asked my TA a couple times about upgrades just to see what she says and no dice. My fiancé plans to ask for every upgrade possible once we are at the airport and hotel, he's a negotiator and has no shame lol so that's what we're relying on. I just checked her email again. Our guests have blocked seats on their flight - I guess so they can all go together? And Colin and I get advance seat selection on our flight, our seats are already selected, they are the seats with more leg room. So that's good! Was hoping for a bit more, not trying to sound greedy lol Hopefully you have better luck!

@@jes0912 I booked with Air Canada and apparently my perks are being able to put a deposit down of $150 instead of $300 pp and holding seats for 90 days. I thought with Air Canada I would get some perks as well. Not even a closet to put my wedding dress. If you hear anything back let me know!

@@yycbride2016 Thank you! I've seen that diet pop up everywhere and was so curious! I thought I'd share in case anyone else was curious like me. I love my food too! Exactly why I couldn't finish the 3 days lol. And 6.5lbs is still a great weight loss! @@JamieDonna Congrats on your engagement! I'm about 5 1/2 months out from my wedding and so far picking the resort was the toughest part. Once that's done, it will get a lot more fun! I promise! I saw you're not interested in Mexico so I can't suggest my resort. But I can recommend the Travel Agency I worked with. They are called Total Advantage Travel & Tours based in Toronto, quick to respond to emails and got the quote for my guests down $130 pp from a previous quote. My guests flying out of Toronto are only paying $1259 (with tax) each. It's worth a shot contacting them to see what they can do and suggest for your destination wedding. We were able to get our price down to what we did because we went back and forth with another company comparing quotes against each other so it's definitely worth contacting multiple agencies until you find the right one for you. Oh! And Total Advantage threw in Custom Beach Bags for our guests that booked through them! I'll have to order a bunch more for our UK guests, but every bit helps! Good luck and keep us posted! xo

@@ashhtayy very pretty dress! Not your typical destination wedding dress, and I love the back! What is the fabric like? It's great that you are able to see the colour the dress will be, I would be scared to order it as well, especially if you're going for something specific.
