Oooohhh no! Please don't be discourage. So close to the finish line.... did you tell her that you have been basing things off of what you received from David?? If pricing increased from that they should of contacted you. When I received my budget planner from David it was with my contract and I had to sign it and return it with the contract. Can you send me the updated version you received so I can price compare. I have 10 months to go. ..so you know pricing will probably go up again. Smh Stay positive .... Thanks.... I'll be combing the budget again this weekend. Yikes! I thought of excellence for the wedding but after hearing about the special. I may look into them for honeymoon. I finally added a face to my profile. lol Anyway, when I first started reading the thread for Dreams... past brides posted and talked about the slide show but the resort photographer doesn't offer that anymore. Thats truly a bummer for me.

Arriving Tuesday getting married Friday...and the guest are arriving Thursday.

I seriously must be doing something wrong with my budget. Lol My fiancé said don't go over $15000 and I'm right at it. With no upgrade to photography or videography. No Seaside Grill, no DJ, no rehearsal dinner, no TTD session and staying at same hotel for honeymoon. Need to check my figures... besides doing the lighted dance floor and paying for 15 additional guest, 3 extra bouquet, pretty much at budget. Seriously... Smh

Where are people staying for their honeymoon. I orginally planned to stay at Dreams thinking they may upgrade us or give us additional comps since we are staying a total of 9 days but... other resort seem to also give honeymoon comps so now I'm not sure if it'll be worth the effort to pack and stay elsewhere for 3 days. Change of scenery would be nice but I'm all about the beach, unlimited food and drinks right now.

How exciting! I remember when I read your first post. Please let me know if they are on Chicago time and what time it started to get dark. Also if you don't mind me asking... how much did you budget for a photographer since you are using someone outside of the package. Do you still have to pay outside censor fee?

Congrats to all! Received my confirmation letter and now I'm starting to plan my Dec 11th wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico! Now that I've picked a resort... I feel less stressed.

Definitely doing our wedding in Chicago before we leave for cancun. Not telling anyone, not exchanging rings, not walking down an aisle at courthouse... simple 10 minute ceremony and only recognizing the date we get married in Mexico. To much paperwork and the blood test at a hotel was our deal breaker. So symbolic it will be.

Hi, so the Save the Dates are officially in the mail. I'm about a months behind in sending them out but we have been telling guest via text and phone calls. So now it's on paper sort to speak. Found a travel agent to work with Guest on booking the rooms. We booked the plunge pool room and we still hope to get upgraded. So I've read tons of past brides reviews all the way back to 2013 and I contacted the photographer that in the Ultimate Package. I think it's adventure. ... anyway I'm so disappointed they don't offer the slide show anymore. Now I'm thinking of changing photographers but need to know if I upgrade my package with adventure and the package is 1200. Do they take in account that I paid for the ultimate package and give me 500 off? Since I paid 500 for photography I'm the ultimate package * jus using these figures as examples * Who are you using for photography and how much are you paying?

I am especially interested in hearing from Brides that used the Seaside Grill for their reception; What time did your ceremony start and what time for your reception at Seaside Grill. Did you have a huge gap in time? also what time was sunset about.. did you run out of daylight for your pictures? Please let me know.

Sorry I've been away... but I am back. Today I almost got a little misty eyes... Received my confirmation letter via email from David for my December 11, 2015 Wedding. *throws confetti* So NOW I need to catch up with everyone... One question I have is ... I requested the Seaside Grill and I was told reception could not start until 8p. Were any of the other brides told that when booking the Seaside Grill. I am freaking out because that leaves NO time for partying and to spend $1000 just to eat in their is not what I want to do. I want to PARTY and eat. lol And you figure that is a LOT of dead time for my guest if I am having a 4:30p ceremony on the beach. I was told sunset is around 5p in December. Looks like Seaside Grill may not be a good option for me. Did I read a bride having her reception at seaside at 7:30p with a 4:30p ceremony? Did your WC direct you to how the guest can spend the dead time and also... you mentioned no dance floor in Seaside. Is there a reason you are going without.. Curious. Other than that... Looking forward to learning from you all (past and present brides)... I am sooo excited.
