  1. Hi Ladies, I'm getting married next year at Moon Palace and their only approved photography vendor is DreamArt Photography. I've looked at other photographers, and actually really wanted Del Sol but with an $800 vendor fee, they are just going to be too expensive for us. I've searched on here and through blogs and google for other photographers to get the one best suited to our taste for the best price and DreamArt seem to be that for us. We really like their style from their catalogue and website but I can't seem to find any reviews! Does anyone have any experience with them that would be so kind to direct me to some photos? As much as the photos on their website look great, I'm worried they are a few of their best photos. I'd like to see some real wedding photos and see which are associated with which photographer so I can see if I can request a photographer that I like. Thanks in advance
  2. Does anyone have any information on cakes? I received some information from our wedding coordinator about The Sweet Party, a catalogue, but no price guide, no photos of cakes you can choose from, no contact details. I need to ask for some more information from our coordinator but just wondering if anyone had any other bakers they had been in contact with as I like to compare? @@TropicsBride I only booked a few months ago so only just over a year in advance so can't help there but would definitely try and book your wedding earlier than later! Happy planning
  3. Oh no! I didn't realise they have moved the dolphin experience! I emailed our wedding coordinator regarding this new cost to have the reception in the ballroom. I explained that it wasn't in our contract etc. and we had based our booking with moon palace due to the base costs and that I wasn't happy with this additional cost that we were informed of, especially as with approx. 50 guests, that would increase our costs by approx. $1500. It made no difference, she pretty much said nothing could be done about the costs and there were free reception venues such as the terrace. We are not happy at all because it was important to have our reception indoors for the vision we have. So annoyed as we calculated all the base costs before deciding which hotel to book at.

  5. I actually spoke to my wedding coordinator today and was surprised when she told me it was $30 per head for use of the ballroom. I too was sure my contract only states other outdoor locations being an additional cost. I'm going to have another look over my contract as this will bump our costs up by approx. $1500.

  7. Hello, it's great to see how everyone's plans are coming together. My date is 26th April 2016 at the Catholic Chapel and booked the Immaculate Conception Package in order to get the chapel as we are not actually having a Catholic ceremony, it will be a civil/Christian ceremony. That's the only thing we have confirmed so far. Currently looking into photographers. Absolutely love Del Sol but they are outside of the budget we'd like to spend when you add the vendor fee. Our colours are blush and either gold or grey. Haven't decided yet but I think I'm leaning more towards blush and gold with a burst of coral in the flowers to add some dimension. Our STD's were sent to the printers this week so we should have them next week!
  8. Hi Ladies! We have chosen Moon Palace for 26th April 2016! We are doing boarding pass STD's. Had a friend design them for us, got them back last week. Just finalising the guest list so we can send them out...hoping to have them with guests before 26th April so they have them a year in advance ????
