That's amazing. I wanted the draped string light style, but LatinAsia and Zuniga were crazy expensive too. My lighting still worked out but the extra lighting would have been great. What a great idea to bring them yourself!
-
No judgement here!! I definitely did the same thing. Cool! I didn't know that you brought those string lights. What a great idea!!! I should have done that! hahah
-
You're so welcome for the recommendation. I hope that many people use Nathan because he was an absolute pleasure to deal with the year leading up to my wedding and his products are great quality Your bachelorette looked so fun!! I did the exact same thing for mine except my girls added an extra stop before the club...a not so appropriate one haha. I love the painting it was a lot of fun. Your wedding is coming up so soon!!
-
Can I just throw an idea out now? MEXICAN?! lol La Carnita or maybe El Catrin?
-
I'm good for April 8th as well. March is a bit busy for me too so I don't think I can make it for any dates in March.
-
Aww! So glad that your day went well. Are you back on Canadian soil now? Can't wait to hear more about your week. I've seen most of these pictures of course due to my social media stalking! They look great and can't wait to see what Juan Carlos did with the photography and video.

Deecol's Planning Thread - Gbp - April 30Th, 2016

You honestly will.. It goes by so quickly. I still can't believe how fast ours went by.. I remember when I first came on here and I was counting down days in the 300's haha.. Now it's been almost 3 months since our wedding day Always here! xo -
Everything looks great so far. I really like the third revision of your guest book map. I'm a sucker for bombshell font and probably overused it on all of my wedding signage haha. Love the graphics you purchased from Etsy - very clean and simple, yet elegant Also, I'm sorry to hear about the family that isn't able to make it. We had a few of those as well who had put deposits and then weren't able to for unforeseen circumstances. The week we were about to leave my uncle had a stroke so him and my aunt had to back out only a few days before and unfortunately didn't even get most of their money back. Your special day will be amazing regardless and it's so great that you can stream your wedding from AF!

Omg you're almost exactly two months away from your wedding date. Where has time gone..seriously. You will chip away at that list and it won't seem too daunting, but i'd say just get any of the more 'annoying' things out of the way early. My annoying thing was the music.. I made sure to get that done a month or so before we left.. I just didn't want to be dealing with it so close to the wedding. I'm here for you if you need anything in the next two months! -
Aww fun!! Sounds like you had a great bachelorette party!! Any kind of wine tasting sounds like a great idea to me Your wedding is fast approaching!

hahah I still love the ooga chucka part. oh my goodness. Everything looked so great!! Love the first song you chose to start the dancing with - great choice! The ampersand would have drove me nuts as well hahah. Your wedding looked so beautiful!! I love everything you did and just seeing your overall vision come together is really great. We were going to jump in the pool that was right in our reception space, but then we all decided to just change into our swimsuits because they opened the pool bar up for us.. we were in there til 3am haha. It was a really small pool with it being the rooftop pool so it was actually quite nice because it was really warm. Ahh.. fond memories. I wish we could go back like..3 months? lol

Air Transat Refund Amount - Help!
bride2016 replied to krystalball's topic in Canadian Destination Wedding Group
I agree with @snswedding2016 Our agreement was actually that for every ten rooms booked, bride + groom only pay the taxes on our package.. which were around 3-400 or so. So we ended up paying for only our tax which equalled out to be about $1280 x 2 saved by Chester and I.- 22 replies

you're definitely getting much closer to your big day! So exciting. It will fly by! Instead of a typical guest book we did advice for the bride and groom cards. It was super cute and pretty much everyone filled them out. We got some silly responses and also some really meaningful advice. We plan to read them again on our one year anniversary We brought a card box, but it really just ended up being for the completed advice cards. No one gave us money/cards the day of the wedding. All of our guests either gave us our cards before or after the wedding. They didn't want to bring the money to Mexico and worry about the safety etc.

Artificial Flowers Vs Resort Flowers
bride2016 replied to banana2016's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Hello, I actually brought my own bouquets/boutonnieres etc. I went through an Etsy vendor called stemple shop. I ordered bouquets of real touch peonies. It's definitely possible to bring your own flowers and it will save you a lot of money! Mine packed really easily and when I unpacked them they were fine, they weren't squished at all.- 16 replies

Definitely go with Mink. Although I can't say i've tried anything else - I've gotten Mink both times and they look and feel the most real as well. -

There's a Chinese woman who did mine here in Markham. She came highly recommended from my makeup artist and she's way cheaper than salons. I've used her twice and she does a really great job. That's for anyone willing to take the trek to Markham. I paid $70 cash for mine and that was with her adding extra lashes. Usually she charges $60 -

I'd say they will. Mine lasted well beyond two weeks, in fact it's been over two months and I still have a few left lol. -

Haha don't worry about looking like a glam goddess on your wedding week, you deserve it! They won't look over the top, I promise! I wore sunglasses when I was beach bumming so no one even noticed them anyway. I'd suggest bringing waterproof mascara though if you do get them. You're going to be down there an entire week before the wedding and some may fall out since they fall out naturally. Just as a precaution in case -

I vote extensions! My natural lashes are really big with mascara as well, but it just doesn't show in photos the same way. Extensions look dramatic in person, but you always have to go more dramatic to notice makeup in professional photos. -
Try not to overthink the flowers because they look really beautiful!! Peonies are a flower that even look great alone, so with the added lambs ear and baby's breath it really brings it all together for more of a bridal look. I think you will be really happy with them I did a mixture of two colours for my aisle runners.. White and blush. The all blush would look really nice too! Did you consider the raspberry colour at all?

Tanning beds are a bit different than the sun I find. I rarely burn and I have my mom's romanian skin, so I don't usually have an issue getting brown, but usually the first couple of times in the tanning bed I go a bit red. Usually it subsides by the next day for me.
