  1. @@LaurenR I decided to just go with one color, too. I want to keep things simple and didnt want to have too many colors going on. I think I'm going to order two of the panels I posted before. @@raqpena How were the beaches when you were down there? I've heard a lot of reports of tons of seaweed from posters on TripAdvisor and the pictures people post make the water look pretty greyish. Not a huge deal to me because our Travel Agent warned us of that and we plan to spend most of our time by the pools but I thought I would get an opinon first hand! Congrats on your wedding, glad it was everything you hoped for! Did you guys go with a DJ? I'm also still deciding what I want to do with my hair- I have a veil and kind of wanted to wear it down. My hair is very straight and doesn't hold curl very well so I'm thinking of just doing beach waves in my hair.
  2. @@prater0420 that's exciting! What day are you guys going down? I've been searching Amazon and found some pretty champagne and Ivory colors: http://www.amazon.com/59-Champagne-Organza-Fabric-Bolt/dp/B00EV6F4YG/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1426777568&sr=8-9&keywords=organza+fabric http://www.amazon.com/59-Ivory-Organza-Fabric-Bolt/dp/B00EV6GGBG/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ac_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1ERTPRKGYJMGC0S13TVE I figure with the Ivory I'll def have some left over material and am hoping that I'll have ENOUGH material with the champagne, but I think these two colors are really pretty and soft together! Everyone feel free to let me know what you think! I'm terrible at making decisions on my own, haha!
  3. I have a question for everyone; I'm looking on Amazon for my own sheers to buy for the ceremony since they charge 100 bucks each. Does anyone know what kind of material I should be looking for or any links to where they bought theirs? The measurements the WC gave me are in meters which is a unique conversion so I'm having a little trouble really knowing what I should be looking for exactly. It always takes me a week to get a response from my WC so I thought I'd reach out here! Thanks in advance
  4. @@atyson03 I submitted serveral pics of different flower options for pricing before I got what I wanted. I decided early on what was important to me and what I was willing to compromise on. I really wanted real flowers so the compromise came in the arrangements. I went more simple for the bridesmaids, but they are beautiful bouquets- 60 bucks each! My bouquet is about 180. I originally really wanted all the expensive bouquets (the peonies, cymbidium orchids, etc...) but ultimately decided to do flowers that we more in season, and not as difficult. White, ivory, blush roses are a really nice touch and adding more greenery can make everything look fuller without spending as much Good luck, hope this helps!
  5. Have you checked Gap? They usually have really cute hats and semi formal outfits like you're describing. H&M also has a kids line, J Crew may also have some options. I'd Google childrens fedoras, childrens suspenders, etc... and see what pops up. There are many online boutiques that you may have to pay a little more for, but the quality is usally great. Also, ETSY! I cannot tell you how many times I have used Etsy for special items. You may wind up paying more for shipping depending where in the world your items come from, but the quality is impeccable and you can usually find just what you need.
  6. Hi there, I'm new to this site but have been reading some of the latest posts on this thread and the other Azul Sensatori threads. We are all booked and set to marry May 7th, 2015 with our ceremony on the beach and our reception at Plaza Zavas. All of the links to the DIY ideas have been so helpful- I'm particularly thinking of bringing our own sheers for the ceremony as the cost is pretty high even for the simple white sheers. My question for everyone who has gotten married on the beach and brought their own sheers (@Ydolem) is concerning measurements. How much fabric did you need to order, and did you have any issues with it being wrinkled at all once you brought it? Did they charge you a set up fee for that? Secondly, we have had about 33 people respond as attending, including our wedding party (6 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen and my son, the ring bearer). We are not expecting many more "yes's" at this point-10 max. For the reception, We plan on having bride and groom and one table with our groomsmen at a table to our left and the bridesmaids at a table to our right and then 8 people per table at the remaining tables for our guests. It doesn't look like we'll have more than 6 tables at this point. For anyone with experience, will we have enough people/tables to really fill the Plaza Zavas space without it looking empty? We're starting to wonder if we picked the wrong reception area for our number of people. Again, not expecting more than 40-45 give or take at this point. Btw, we chose the Pure Glamour package for our reception but are going to do our own center pieces! Thinking of using the bridesmaids bouquets as centerpiece's with DIY seashells candles and a starfish so glad I found this site, already have found ways to save money and get creative with all the advice I've read!
